Slight improvement for Koch

2/3 of a inning, no hits, no runs, but one, two, three walks without a K.

Paniagua makes his Charlotte debut

1 inning 2 hits, 0 runs, 0 strikeouts

No gun readings on either guy.

and Joe Borchard continues an impressive August and his drive toward .250. which is better than it sounds considering he lingered below .230 for much of the season.

two more hits, including his 19th double, two runs scored and an RBI

September callups, all of them?

Not Koch if he doesn't pitch effectively at AAA. What is the latest date we can call Koch up and still have him eligible for the playoff roster? If we can keep him down there until, say September 15 or so, we should do that. Get him as much work in as possible so we can see WTF he does or does not have left.

Paniagua yes if he is effective at AAA.

And not Borchard. Keep him down in the minors and he'll get another shot at spring training next year.
