Jose Abreu
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 5, 2014 -> 07:38 PM) Uh......a top 10-20 hitter in MLB? If that ends up being true, then Rick Hahn won the offseason. Think about it. The top 10-20 hitters in MLB are very good, but Abreu can easily get there.
Y2Jimmy0
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Mar 5, 2014 -> 10:57 AM) What time is the 30/30? Is the 30 for 30 available online or on demand?
witesoxfan
Here are your top 30 hitters last year by wOBA: http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=...0&sort=16,d Bautista was 20th at .259/.358/.498/.856. If Abreu puts up that over a full season, while being either a neutral or good defensive 1B (say 0-10 defensive runs value), we are probably talking about a 4-5 WAR player. McCutchen was 10th at .317/.404/.508/.912. If Abreu puts up that over a full season, while doing the same defensively, he's a 5-6 WAR player, and perhaps more. CaliSoxFanViaSWside
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Mar 6, 2014 -> 05:37 AM) Is the 30 for 30 available online or on demand? http://m.mlb.com/video/v31442799/bosstl-do...eld-call-stands Scroll down from there . There will be 4 video's dated 03/06/2014 from 30/30 , Prediction, Ventura/Beckham talking about Abreu, Konerko with Plesac and Eaton on drag bunting. There was another part about Sox lineup questions but I can't find that part since 30/30 is broken up into sections during the MLB Tonight broadcast. NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Mar 6, 2014 -> 01:43 PM) Where the f*** is Bellisario. This is starting to get weird. It isn't weird with him, because this exact same thing has happened to him at least two previous seasons. He's also had other off-field issues. Apparently he's yet to get his act together. The Sox were saying last week it wasn't a problem, YET. But I am thinking pretty soon he'll find himself out of a bullpen job. There is probably a clause in his contract about having to actually show up for work.
flavum
Belisario is en route, apparently.

ILMOU
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 7, 2014 -> 11:51 AM) Scott Merkin @scottmerkin 3m Daniel Webb threw a bullpen today and Don Cooper was very happy with it. Said Webb will get a day off and then throw in a game Sunday Both Nate Jones and Scott Downs make their Cactus League debut Saturday against the Diamondbacks Projected bullpen pieces coming together it would appear this weekend. Enough time left that the early absences shouldn't matter a whole lot. Lindy is the one to worry about, I suppose. Those obliques need time.
