RockRaines
QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 10, 2014 -> 07:50 AM) Take notes on how it's to be done, than. The car in this article says it's a tad more that $11,000. The writers memory must be bad. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=6611808 They also found zero wrongdoing in any "cars" but thats an awesome ESPN article highlighting the absolute frenzy that took place when all of those things happened. Today you have people arguing that the NCAA is wrong, back then you had most people screaming for the death penalty. OSU got hammered for benefits due to players selling their own signed items and most of all the vest for hiding that he knew about it. If Tressel was just honest when he found out he would still be coaching in columbus. The purchase agreement shows the vehicle cost $18,404.50, But after a trade-in, the remaining balance was $11,435 with monthly payments of $298.35. RockRaines
Here is the problem with these kids making money this way: 1. When it becomes for sale we can ALL see how many items you signed. It's fairly easy trail of evidence. 2. These autograph hounds are scumbags: We do know this, though: at least one memorabilia dealer pitched this story about Gurley selling his name for money. We know that dealer peddled it to multiple outlets, and that the language used in SI's article confirming the story from UGA's end sounds a lot like the language in the email we got http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2...utographs-email

RockRaines
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 10, 2014 -> 09:53 AM) Does the university have the players autograph any stuff? I only know specifics to OSU and they've shut down all autographs as they used to have players sign things for charity functions to raise money. Even outside of the locker room they move anyone looking for signatures which wasnt the case years ago. Pretty sure the charity thing still goes on other places though, and its the same as the selling of jerseys IMO where the players get nothing but the school cashes in. They couldnt find anyone to come forward and say they paid him. They didnt go much further than that which is surprising. I know in the OSU case that they actually looked at kids bank accounts to see if they received money.

Weird, I thought there was video of transaction. Don't remember. Oh well, last time Mizzou fans got psyched about a backup running back Iowa's backup dropped like 214 yards against us. Probably will happen again.

Yeah not sure if there was video of money changing hands. In this case there are actually multiple dealers saying they paid him. Mike Farrell @rivalsmike 7m 7 minutes ago Sounds like he took more money than #Buckeyes players, more than AJ Green, so what does #UGA do? and the NCAA? Only problem with Mike's perspective is this is a much different time and the NCAA doesnt have the teeth it had a few years ago.

farmteam
Big game for the Hoosiers. Still the underdog, and it's in Iowa City, but it's winnable. Need to win games like this if we want to be bowl eligible.

bmags
Man I thought Maui Maui would be amazing. He can't hit any intermediate crossing routes and now can't hit the long ball. I don't recall a more inconsistent mizzou offense.

whitesoxfan99
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 11, 2014 -> 01:42 PM) Beckman truly has a scorched earth policy. Bailey's redshirt burned I would have had far less problem with it if he would have started Bailey yesterday (still not a fan but I'd least get it). But to pull off the redshirt in the 4th quarter down 24? f***ing ridiculous. He better be playing every snap that Lunt doesn't for the rest of the year now. cabiness42
Roughing the snapper...what a joke It's a rule that's right there in black and white. You aren't allowed to hit the snapper until he has moved from his spot. There were at least a dozen worse calls in the game affecting both sides. cabiness42
So I guess Ole Miss and Miss State are pretty good... I guess so. Both looked pretty dominant yesterday. Imagine if they are both 11-0 going into the Egg Bowl.
