I think the officials did a poor job with explaining why they picked it up.

Also Dez Bryant running on the field and yelling at the official should have been a penalty. That dude is annoying. He runs around screaming and yelling when they win, but when they lose he leaves the field early.

And their fans have every right to be pissed about their HC not having the balls or brains to go for it on 4th and 1 in plus territory.

That was just straight-up dumb. Their chance of winning is way higher going for it there than it is punting.

edit: this is generally true of 4-and-1 situations

I hope someday soon we see a coach who employs true game strategy and goes for it on 4th down when they're actually supposed to.

I'm ecstatic that the Cowboys won and people can stop (at least for another week) their unfounded claims that Romo can't win a big game. He's done it in the past, and he did it again today.

That being said, I'm not very confident going in to next week. I think it will be a high scoring shootout, but I can't see this Cowboys D stopping Rodgers from scoring at will. It will be up to the Cowboys offense to match Rodgers next week to have a chance.

I think the Cowboys have an excellent shot at beating GB.

The NFL is slowly morphing into the WWF.

It was bad officiating, but I don't think it was any conspiracy to throw the game or anything like that.

All sports suffer from poor officiating. NFL probably more than the others, but it is also the fastest moving with the most players on the field at one time.

The NFL is turning into a clown car show.

I think NHL officials have it way harder than any other sport. While the NFL has more players, they also have the biggest crew of officials, each with a very specific set of jobs.

Nah. GB is going to curb stomp the the scrubs.

It'll be cold and they won't have the refs to bail them out.

I could see why Packers fan would be pissed though. Carolina or Dallas? I think that choice was pretty easy.

I think soccer officials have have a really tough job, especially with the diving and judgement calls.

Especially when FIFA tells you to favor certain teams.

This wasn't poor officiating. This was blatantly changing a correct call and then blatantly not calling an obvious one (Bryant on the field yelling at a ref with his helmet off). This isn't a close missed call at a base in baseball. It's not the dropped third strike on AJP when the umpires view is blocked. This was right in front of the referee, literally. A player who is not supposed to be on the field, let alone with his helmet off is in front of the ref.

Bears will hire their new GM's this week, I predict no later than Friday.

PS: This is not sourced...just me blabbing about what will happen. It will be Ballard or Gamble.

Makes sense, the Kansas City Chiefs have been one of the powerhouses of the AFC for years.

If you can nab a GM from there, 2 years removed from leaving a regime in chicago fired for bad drafting, you do it.

Ballard is a 12 year ex Bears retread employee under Angelo and Emery.................he would be a more of the same and a real bad hire.

By curb stomping yo must mean the game would be over well before the 4th quarter I assume? I think the Cowboys will be in the game well into the 4th quarter. IMO, the Pack's D is a bit overrated while the Cowboys D isn't as bad as most think. The Cowboys are 8-0 as a road team while the Pack haven't been a lock at Lambeau (recent playoffs) as they once were, Rodgers is easily better than Romo but it's not like he's a scrub either and DBryant, DMurray is better than GB's top WR and RB combo. The 'Boys have a legit shot.

Ballard declined the interview with the Jets. Theorize what you will

Jeez. If the Bears have already pretty much told him the job is his why are they doing this song and pony dance? Why do the Bears have to be so predictably inept? Why am I asking these questions? What am I going to eat for lunch today?

35-17.

Bank it! I'm thinking more it'll be a late TD by the Boys to bring it that close.
