Bears OC Aaron Kromer admitted to the team on Monday that he was an anonymous source in a recent NFL Network report criticizing Jay Cutler.

That would be Ian Rapoport's "serious buyer's remorse" report, though a "tearful" Kromer "adamantly denied" making the buyer's remorse comments. Whatever Kromer did or didn't exactly say, it's a stunning admission, and indicative of Raiders/Redskins-level dysfunction in Chicago. It's appearing less and less likely that coach Marc Trestman is going to keep his job. Not only has his defense collapsed, but his once-prolific offense has bordered on unwatchable many times over the past 5-6 weeks. Kromer's unprofessional act is going to earn him sideways glances the next time he's looking for a job.

Definitely, you can't have this circus of a staff around next year for sure. I'd probably be ok with Trestman as OC but a head coach that would tell him he's getting too pass heavy and this isn't the CFL.

How was Kromer not fired on Monday when this happened? He can't be in the building still. God this is such a horrible franchise right now. I really don't think this coaching staff survives.

Well, we all hoped for a totally embarrassing end to the season to force a mass change. That appears to be happening.

Maybe Brees will hang 50 on the Bears at home just for the icing on the cake, which will look like a footprint on the back of the Bears heads

So Kromer called out Cutler for refusing to check out of bad run plays? So he thinks they should have been running the ball even less?

He didn't call out Cutler though. He said it to Ian Rapaport anonymously and then admitted that he did it while crying in front of the team. If he called out Cutler it would have been fine. He went to the media about an in-house issue. He should have had his keys taken.

Bears need to clean house, but because of the money involved in doing so, it will probably take them more than one year to do so. Bad situation.

Plenty of room on the Aaron Rodgers express. Come on over Bear fans, we welcome you!

I'd love Mariota but it will cost a ton of picks. Even if the Bears finish 5-11, they will most likely be picking 7th overall. Love the idea though.

Lets hope that some bad teams catch fire, and some unknown QBs have great bowl games :)
