If they are in the midst of an interview, I wouldn't expect much to come out, since everyone is in the room together the whole time (outside of pee breaks).

The interview has been done for a while though hasnt it?

Quinn is going to Atlanta though!

Oh this is too much! Gee Golly!

Most likely but that doesn't mean Chicago doesn't try and push for him. Its all a moot point anyway as I'd be stunned if Fox isn't the next head coach of the Bears. Stunned.

We have seen the Bears botch many of hires. You shouldnt be stunned. This can get ugly and I just get this feeling it may be about to.

If you are so sure stop checking this thread Gage. You stop right now. Sit back and wait to read tomorrows paper.

Why read tomorrow's paper when it is happening today. This is a new and improved era of Bears football!!

He reportedly headed back to Denver without having reached terms but Bears had offered him position.

SN Chicago had another report indicating the Bears' head coaching job belongs to John Fox "if he wants it."Fox's interview with Chicago went well into the evening on Wednesday night, but the two sides were unable to reach a deal.

Waiting for Quinn would seem like a foolish decision. Either we want Fox or we don't. Need to make up the mind and you can't just sit around and wait for Quinn, imo (not when we moved as quick as we did with Fox). I also think waiting on Quinn could be a significant mistake as Fox might be irrupted and say he isn't interested (and sit out a year) with the Falcons hiring Quinn (as on paper they have the better roster). It seems that Quinn is reportedly a heavy favorite in Atlanta.

It really makes little sense to me. Hire Fox or don't but if you are lukewarm on Fox and need to wait for Quinn than he probably isn't your guy anyway.

Does a successful 60 year old guy want to coach under a 37 year old first time GM and have no power regarding the roster? Does the 37 year old new GM want to give up some of his newly acquired power to a coach that, looking at it negatively, has been canned twice?

From what I heard, Pace wants to talk to Quinn, which would indicate to me, Fox isn't his perfect candidate, and Quinn probably is a longshot to coach the Bears.

Who really knows? Fox might be named the new coach in 5 minutes.
