Interesting part of that article:

Bears No. 3 receiving position with Marquess Wilson and Domenik Hixon

Excited about this possibility. Also realizing we may need to draft a WR.

I definitely think the team will draft a wide-out. That or we will add a June/July cap casualty.

I think that was supposed to be Josh Morgan. They also got that speedburner from the CFL(Williams?)

Did he have a hand transplant? ;)

Brandon Marshall fixed em in Florida.

Don't get me started on Chris Williams ;)

Ya, he previously had off the field issues that certainly look like a thing of the past now.

Somewhat on subject, he's good friends with Colt Lyerla, the Oregon TE who draws comps to Gronk, but off the field issues are pushing him to the back of the draft. I'd love for the Bears to snag him as high as the 5th. Could probably get him in the 6th but I think in this scenario he's worth reaching for to assure you get your hands on him. Perhaps pairing him with Long will keep him out of trouble and he can reach reach his potential.

Jay Cutler: Josh McCown made me a better person -- http://bit.ly/1s04YId #BearsTalk

I said it last year in how he handled his bad games, Jay is a different person and I'm very proud that he is our quarterback and I think he is going to end up doing some very exciting things for this franchise as a whole (and some frustrating things but I think he will win at least one superbowl with the Bears).

So, I kinda agree with the sentiment that while most likely meaning nothing, signing all of your draft picks before first camp shows goodwill on side of bears to take care of the players on the business side so they can worry about football.

But it may also just mean that bears sign draft picks quickly, full stop.

I honestly believe his excuse. (And that's rare for me)

So I read he got busted for the same thing that Manny got busted for, Clomid, which is a female fertility drug, and also what steroid users take when they are cycling down.

I don't really buy it because there is no reason he should be taking a female fertility drug. And the NFL isn't buying his excuse either

The statement continues: "The drug for which Mr. Mathis tested positive is not approved by the FDA for fertility in males and is a performance-enhancing drug that has been prohibited for years. Importantly, Mr. Mathis did not consult with the policy's Independent Administrator, a physician jointly approved by the NFL and NFL Players Association. Nor did he consult with his team doctor, the team's training staff, the NFLPA, the league office or the hotline established under the policy to give confidential information to players. Each of these sources would have warned against using this substance.

Sounds believable.

Well, no longer as believable.
