Molto
you know what is funny about all of this? had Buehrle of pitched today and won and Cotts pitch tomorrow, and lose, people will be complaining and ripping this team because they weren't able to beat the lowly Tigers on the road. you may not like the move of starting Cotts, but people are acting as if it is going to cost us the playoffs. does Mark Buehrle not have a better chance of winning tomorrow then Neal Cotts? I think he does, which could lead to a win either way. had Buehrle of pitched today, we wouldn't have had a clear edge, we have one tomorrow. all we need is wins right now, that is all. If Burhle is available to start and you send a rookie out there instead against a team as explosive as the Yank-mees you are asking for it. They got it too, rook-boy gets lit up for 5 in the 1st & we are playing catch-up the rest of the way. Thank god for Danny Wright!!! My point is, you need to start the guy who gives you the best chance to win. Any jackass could go out there and beat the Tigers.

We are in a pennant race and finally playing like it. We don't need any of JM's sabotage and tinkering now.
Molto
any jackass can beat the Tigers? your the same guy who would complain then if we lose to them with Cotts on the mound. as of right now, we are down one run with a chance to win this game and we have Buehrle starting against the Tigers tomorrow, not a bad situation. If Burly-mon started this game they wouldn't have scored 5 runs in the 1st frame and we would be ahead now instead of facing their closer. Molto
oh yeah, because Buehrle is the master of holding leads and has never had bad starts.
NUKE_CLEVELAND
oh yeah, because Buehrle is the master of holding leads and has never had bad starts. I trust him to step up in a pressure game rather than some rook.
Chisoxfn
oh yeah, because Buehrle is the master of holding leads and has never had bad starts. Buehrle is an ace, but no one can say indefinately what would of happened. Right now the Sox got to worry about finishing todays' game strong and pulling out a sweep (I still got faith) and then going into Detroit and playing them with 200% effort. If Buehrle wasn't feeling good, then putting him out there wouldn't of been wise either.

Oh well, god forbid JM starts a guy that is proven and motivated against a 1st place team. Lets get the rook in there so he can bask in the spotlight a little. Jordan4life_2003
As I have said in other posts. U got a chance to sweep the Yanks u take it. Especially in ny. We coulda sent a big ass message to the entire f***in league. Cotts has a much better chance against the Tigers than he does the Yanks. And if we do lose to the Tigers we know it's cause Cotts was pitchin. I don't think anbody woulda b****ed about it...
Queen Prawn
While I understand that people are disgusted with his desicion, what about the first four guys in the line up going a collective 4-18? That certainly didn't help.
