Benchwarmerjim
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 30, 2014 -> 08:49 AM) http://www.bringmethenews.com/2014/03/17/twins-ticket-sales/ Despite hosting the All-Star game, Twins might have fewer tickets sold this year than in their final Metrodome season in 2009. three straight years of miserable baseball and ticket sales decline? shocked. at least the front office is honest about it. BlackSox13
At least the Sox aren't the only team trying something different at #3 in the batting order. Altuve batted third for houston.

Altuve batted third for houston. It's not about trying something different, combined they lost 200+ games last season. It's a lack of talent, not something to be too proud of. It's a lack of talent, not something to be too proud of. Or mostly the fact that they want to start Davidson's arbitration clock later. It does point out the fact that we're one left-handed hitter behind where Ventura would ideally like to be...DeAza hitting 3rd would probably be more "imposing" but surely Robin thinks that Conor will get better pitches to hit and that Alejandro's more comfortable out of the top 3 positions in the batting order. Most teams don't have guys hitting out of the 7 hole that can homer twice in a game, either.

southsider2k5
Marc Topkin @TBTimes_Rays 1h #Rays deal with Archer similar to what they did with Moore after '11 season, 8 years (w/options) for around $40M With options, #Rays deal with Archer would cover 8 years and be worth $45.5 million. Jeff Passan @JeffPassan 2h Chris Archer's $25.5M guarantee depends on arbitration class. If he's a Super 2 -- very likely -- he'd get the full $25.5M. If not, less.
