Despite hosting the All-Star game, Twins might have fewer tickets sold this year than in their final Metrodome season in 2009.

three straight years of miserable baseball and ticket sales decline? shocked.

at least the front office is honest about it.

Matt Spiegel just said that he has a type of cancer that weakens his bones, he didnt come out and call it bone cancer but said that it pretty much caused this.

Which makes me wonder, wtf are the angels doing sending him out there to do that

He may have asked or Vlad may have asked, or you assume Vlad is going to throw a strike because Vlad used to be a baseball player. Not sure.

At least the Sox aren't the only team trying something different at #3 in the batting order. Altuve batted third for houston.

It's not about trying something different, combined they lost 200+ games last season. It's a lack of talent, not something to be too proud of.

Or mostly the fact that they want to start Davidson's arbitration clock later.

It does point out the fact that we're one left-handed hitter behind where Ventura would ideally like to be...DeAza hitting 3rd would probably be more "imposing" but surely Robin thinks that Conor will get better pitches to hit and that Alejandro's more comfortable out of the top 3 positions in the batting order.

Most teams don't have guys hitting out of the 7 hole that can homer twice in a game, either.

Marc Topkin ‏@TBTimes_Rays 1h

#Rays deal with Archer similar to what they did with Moore after '11 season, 8 years (w/options) for around $40M

With options, #Rays deal with Archer would cover 8 years and be worth $45.5 million.

Jeff Passan ‏@JeffPassan 2h

Chris Archer's $25.5M guarantee depends on arbitration class. If he's a Super 2 -- very likely -- he'd get the full $25.5M. If not, less.

Looks like Ricky may have set a precedent with that Quintana signing.

Diminished velocity could be the root of CC Sabathia's struggles: Last night he failed to exceed 91 mph on any pitch and his fastball avg 89

SEND HIM BACK TO THE BUFFET

Buehrle 10 K's in 8 innings. No runs.

First 10 K performance since he struck out 12 Mariners on 4-16-05 in 1 hr. 39 min.

I was at that one, still think I should have got half my money back.
