Astros make Sports Illustrated as cover story...predicted 2017 World Series winners

Jinx ensues immediately.

First the cyber hack/leaked trading documents.

Almost simultaneously, SS Correa's knocked out for the season. Appel's having a horrendous year as well...at least he was. Now the Aiken situation with his signing/non-signing.

The Padres scored 60 runs in 27 games in June.

2.22 runs a game for a month.

As a team they hit .171 for the month, lowest monthly batting average for a team since 1920.

I remember listening to that game on the radio at work. It was a Sunday day game and Glen Hibbard had a no hitter into the 6th.

I was at home and listening on the radio as well. Greg Hibbard was an underrated pitcher.

Just started Art Stewart's new book. Two fascinating things already. 1) Royals had Bo as a 70 runner out of college....(cont.)

2) Stewart says Royals had a deal with Deion Sanders to play baseball out of HS. Fell through when he got a Corvette to go to FSU.

Yankees have traded for Brandon McCarthy.

3-10 with a 5.01 era playing the the NL West.

I cant see anything good coming from this.
