southsider2k5
Bernie Pleskoff @BerniePleskoff 15m #Dbacks have claimed OF Nolan Reimold off waivers from #BlueJays. I think this is a solid move-and Chase Field fits his swing nicely.

That's simply unacceptable behavior from a scout.

Soxfest
The Mariners have shut down Jesus Montero for the remainder of the 2014 season as they want him to address his non-baseball issues. There was a verbal altercation on Thursday night between Montero and one of the team's scouts as Montero was on a minor league rehab assignment with Class-A Everett. Allegedly, the scout poked fun at Montero's lack of hustle and sent an ice cream sandwich into the dugout for him, and Montero attempted to take a bat into the crowd to confront the scout. While he's a supremely talented hitter, until he clears up the personal issues he simply won't make it at the big league level. Source: Bob Dutton on Twitter His stock has fallen badly. greg775
Is that true? Geezus. I'd fine the player 5,000 dollars if he didn't hit it on the ground toward left or bunt it that way. there's no reason in the world to hit into that shift. What has happened to sports? With absolutely no fielders on the left side, you MUST plop it down toward left.

caulfield12
QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 1, 2014 -> 11:12 AM) I always thought he was an unqualified whack job. That mid-game team meeting last week was bizarre. That's because he has that KW, football player mentality as well...especially coming from a perspect of a defensive backfield player...and defense in football thriving more on emotion and momentum than baseball.
