ptatc
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Mar 7, 2014 -> 04:21 PM) Do you recommend using this program? Yes, it's excellent and saves alot of money. You get the tuition at today's price and pay it over 10 years. If they don't go to an illinois public school, they get the average of all 9 public school tuition per credit hour paid to the institution of their choice. It's not as good of a deal as if they go to an illinois school but you still get quite a bit more money than what you paid into it.
Jenksismyhero
Isn't there a legit concern that come time to enroll in class the fund won't have the money to pay for it? Since, you know, it's basically a legal ponzi scheme?

caulfield12
http://socialistworker.org/2005-2/562/562_04_RedCross.shtml Having done charity work for 5 years, I wasn't surprised to read some of the allegations/accusations against the Red Cross. There's the political/non-partisan nature of the organization, the CEO salary and administrative salaries being so high, the response to Katrina...even if 1/2 the stories in this article are untrue or exaggerations, there are a ton of allegations which are damaging and downright embarrassing. Especially here in China, the "Red Cross" name is ridden with B list celebrity scandal, greed and corruption. http://www.scmp.com/news/china/article/122...-meimei-scandal

EvilMonkey
Story just gets messier and messier, with the parents also claiming that the father of the boyfriend rooutinely brought the kids home drunk, and there is a phone message left by the girl to the mom that is pretty f***ed up. 'I hate you, have a nice life, bye mom' Phone message left for Liz Canning from Rachel at July 2, 2013 1:18pm, submitted to Morris County Court, which got the judge apparently so angry: 'Hi mom just to let you know you're a real f**king winner aren't you you think you're so cool and you think you caught me throwing up in the bathroom after eating an egg frittatta, yeah sorry that you have problems now and you need to harp on mine because i didn't and i actually took a s*** which i really just wanna s*** all over your face right now because it looks like that anyway, anyway i f***ing hate you and um I've written you off so don't talk to me, don't do anything I'm blocking you from just about everything, have a nice life, bye mom' And it seems as if she tried to break the parents up, as well as accusing the father of being a little too 'friendly'. Mrs Canning even accused her daughter of trying to sabotage her relationship with her husband and even ‘attempting to open up a dating profile for him’. The girl, and family, is messed up. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-25...unk-3-30am.html
Jake
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 7, 2014 -> 10:10 AM) It's funny that in the US kids are expected to be responsible and on their own, while in much of Europe, kids live at home until they are married and that's the norm. Yeah, a great deal of the rest of the world, both developed and otherwise, thinks it is very strange and quite selfish that children are rushed out of the house as they approach the end of their schooling. Likewise, they find it strange that and even more offensive that those same children don't welcome their parents into their household as the parents reach retirement age. It seems like she's bragging about having taken a s***, as if someone had challenged her ability? Anyway, I've had two exes that spoke to their parents like this all the time and the crazy part was that it never seemed to carry over past the incident. The horrible exchange would happen but an hour later both sides would be totally amicable.
