RockRaines
Michigan has 3 fouls to give with 3 min left.
RockRaines
Why take Thompson out there? Strange. Michigan should just start hacking. It's not going to matter for a few whistles.
RockRaines
Good effort. Can't go down that much and expect to win. I still would have liked 5 make up calls.

Brian
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 15, 2014 -> 02:50 PM) Good effort. Can't go down that much and expect to win. I still would have liked 5 make up calls. Ross got bailed out on Morgan's 5th. Wasn't even facing bucket. Imagine how much better he'd be if he stopped crying to refs and just played. RockRaines
QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 15, 2014 -> 02:52 PM) Ross got bailed out on Morgan's 5th. Wasn't even facing bucket. Imagine how much better he'd be if he stopped crying to refs and just played. Or if he shot about the 6 more free throws he deserved. Rowand44
Go into big ten thread and people are complaining about the refs. I am shocked.
RockRaines
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 15, 2014 -> 02:55 PM) Go into big ten thread and people are complaining about the refs. I am shocked. Cute. It was a one sided game but it wasn't the reason we lost. Still could have won even with twice the whistles.
He_Gawn
How is it possible that Andrew Dakich gets more airtime than basically any of the players actually playing the game of basketball?

Brian
Well, at least Michigan beat MSU 2 outta 3.

RockRaines
Both of these teams have the chance to be dangerous in the tourney. Every team making it there is so different.

Brian
At the risk of sound like Illinois fans and Rock, how is Wisc getting called for loose ball or over the back fouls and MSU isn't?
Brian
Kaminsky should stay another year but he has a chance to make some money from March.
RockRaines
QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 15, 2014 -> 05:16 PM) At the risk of sound like Illinois fans and Rock, how is Wisc getting called for loose ball or over the back fouls and MSU isn't? Because they are trying to even up the calls, something that happens almost every big ten game. Almost.
RockRaines
Lots of firsts today. First time MSU and UM face each other in the BTT title game, first multi win BTT for UM since 98, first BTT win for UM vs OSU. Should be a good one tomorrow. Dick Allen
It probably wouldn't have mattered, but Wisconsin wasted a lot of time before they started fouling. MSU was running 10 seconds off the clock before the fouls. Once they got the ball in, the foul needed to happen. I have always thought college teams wait too long to start fouling anyway. You can play offense and defense and bring guys off the bench to hack.start it with 5 minutes left instead of 2.
RockRaines
So Michigan should be a 1, Wisconsin a 2, MSU a 4 and OSU a 5?

Michigan has to win tomorrow and cross fingers to get #1. Virginia beating Duke would help.

cabiness42
I'd hate to be the 1 seed with MSU as a 4 Teams who win games with a player and then lose the player for the tournament get their seed dropped all the time. Why does the opposite not happen? A team that loses without a player and then gets the player back never gets their seed raised.
Brian
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Mar 16, 2014 -> 11:42 AM) Teams who win games with a player and then lose the player for the tournament get their seed dropped all the time. Why does the opposite not happen? A team that loses without a player and then gets the player back never gets their seed raised. I don't think it should be either way. Just seed the teams on what they've done.
