The Ultimate Champion
Hmm, which one to use, cut or uncut? Both have their advantages and drawbacks. All I know is if I'm the one standing there with wood in my hand then I'm probably pretty jittery not knowing which balls are coming. One other positive in this situation is that Felipe is somewhat hairy.
The Ultimate Champion
QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Mar 18, 2014 -> 11:08 AM) 2003 Esteban Loaiza redux would be nice. I'd easily settle for 2005 El Duque or 2010? Freddy Garcia, just get me half a season plus until Beck is ready.
ScottyDo
Anybody seen more than one of Paulino's starts so far? I thought he looked terrible yesterday, despite results. He had no idea where that ball was going when it left his hand. Stuff was solid, though. Is this pretty much how it's been so far, or did I watch a particularly off performance? flavum
QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Mar 18, 2014 -> 11:24 AM) Anybody seen more than one of Paulino's starts so far? I thought he looked terrible yesterday, despite results. He had no idea where that ball was going when it left his hand. Stuff was solid, though. Is this pretty much how it's been so far, or did I watch a particularly off performance? I caught a couple innings this morning, and I agree the results were better than what I saw. He got away with a lot of bad pitches. At the very least, he'll be given a couple months of starts if his arm is healthy. If after 10 starts, he has 5 quality starts, around 55-60 innings, and an ERA around 4.50, that's pretty much what you would hope for from a guy in his position.
