If Keppinger could play 3B and they went with a straight platoon, it'd be fine. Ventura would let Gillaspie face a LHP so often last year though. Look at his splits. Not that Edwin Jackson is the model of success, but he threw 50+ pitches in a start earlier this spring, and all 50+ were fastballs. Renteria wasn't happy about it, but guys go out there right now trying to work on specific things. If they leave one fat, they don't care so long as they get their work in.
