Actually, this just made me crack up.

Track #6..."Stop F---ing Bunting"

Quite possibly the worst song I've ever heard in my life.

Just thinking about all the arguments about "small ball" and how many outs Guillen gave up bunting at USCF...even Ventura getting criticized for it when it wasn't even a Top 20 issue with everything that went haywire last year.

"One man, five tools" was kinda catchy.

Puig inspired death metal. Wow.

Mattingly already losing patience with Puig this season.

Puig Destroyer needs a new song...."Run 'Til You're Out" or "F--k the Cutoff Man!"

Anyone who criticizes Ventura for bunting has no idea what they are talking about. The White Sox bunted the fewest times in baseball last year and the 3rd fewest for a team in a decade.

Back to Puig, he showed up 26 lbs heavier this year and supposedly comes up hurt every time he swings and misses. As long as he is productive it will be OK, but I have a feeling Puig mania isn't going to be very long lasting.

The greatest center fielder ever playing right field has quite an attitude problem

http://m.espn.go.com/mlb/story?storyId=10658691

Nope, you've got it backwards.

The greatest RF ever playing CF.

And the White Sox had an attitude problem for 2/3rd's of last season...they didn't seem to care about playing the game in a fundamentally-correct way, same as Puig. The main difference was talent level/ability.

The worst thing you can say about something is that you don't care about it...it's boring....apathy/malaise. That's the first time since 1983 I've completely tuned out a White Sox season after the first two or three months, with the exception of the trading deadline. At least Puig, love him or hate him, causes SOME sort of reaction from nearly everyone.

If Mattingly can win his battle with the front office/organization to control Puig and if Ventura can turn around the defense/fundamentals, they both deserve major kudos.

I believe you have it backwards, since all he has played is RF and last season you declared him the best centerfielder in the league

I'm sure they're just leveraging the Puig name/brand to make themselves more famous, nothing more. Plus, they're from SoCal and Dodgers fans.

And they've succeeded in getting a lot of national attention for it, very outsized, compared to their lack of musical ability.

I know nobody cares about my fantasy team, but i traded Puig straight up for Wil Myers because I just dont trust Puig to have the year he did in 2013. The guys attitude and the leagues ability to adjust are going to catch up to him.

Puig is on my fantasy team as well. I have 3 other good options to start in his place, fortunately.

Seeing as how "Dodgers executives" met Puig in the dugout after pre-game workouts today, I think its safe to say they are worrried. If he innocently slept through his alarm or was stuck in traffic, it wouldn't have been a big deal.

Maybe Matt Kemp drugged him so he would sleep late, miss the game and he would get to start in Puig's place.

Puig showed late up to the stadium today and was promptly removed from the starting lineup.

Wow. For the home opener, no less. Kemp starting in his stead.

No explanation was given for Puig's late arrival, but he was met by club executives as he came off the field at the end of batting practice.

Shawn Kemp use to have a personal assistant whose entire job was keeping him out of trouble when he played in SEA with the Sonics.

Surely, that person should be able to do the one thing he's getting paid to do.

It worked out nicely for Mattingly to be able to send a lesson to Puig and simultaneously avoid the first big controversy of the season...sitting Kemp in favor of Puig/Ethier/Crawford.

At some point, they might end up having to dump one of those three guys if they start having chemistry issues in the clubhouse. I doubt they're close to the "trade Puig" line of thinking yet, but short-term, they could live without him with all that talent on the roster...IF IF IF they could keep their three veteran outfielders healthy.

I would maybe steer the Dodgers towards someone else to fill that role, like maybe a house plant. Never a good thing when your wikipedia page has "at least" written in front of the # of children you have, followed by "as of 1998".

Former Chiefs' linebacker Derrick Thomas has much the same story.

It's only rivaled by Dennis Rodman's father, Philander.

On balancing the playing time for Kemp, Ethier, Crawford and Puig. Seems Ethier is the most likely to sit SAT against Bumgardner.
