shago
QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 2, 2014 -> 02:34 PM) Hard to believe Flowers is one of 30 starting catchers in baseball. Rick really needs to do something quick .... Can't go thru a full season of that
flavum
If Paulino can get through the 5th, that's a pretty decent first start for a 5th starter that just happens to be pitching the second game. Edited April 2, 2014 by flavum

harfman77
QUOTE (La Marr Hoyt HOF @ Apr 2, 2014 -> 02:35 PM) Rick really needs to do something quick .... Can't go thru a full season of that Because why? No reason to overpay for something or make knee jerk reaction. Flowers is here because they like the way he works with the pitchers, they need to find another option but its not like there are a ton of quality C's available. chitownsportsfan
Two automatic outs at the end of the lineup today. Is what it is, if solid catchers grew on trees we'd have one by now. Not really sure why Conor got the day off, rather see him and Semian than Garcia and Semian.

Flowers is here because they like the way he works with the pitchers, they need to find another option but its not like there are a ton of quality C's available. Especially when the whole world knows that Hahn is looking for another catcher. This isn't OOTP.
