fathom
I mentioned this the other day, but Semien is known to be a slow starter. With that said, they might want to drop him down in the order to take some pressure off of him.

Dick Allen
The WP wouldn't make the runs unearned, but the error for the botched rundown should.
chw42
QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 3, 2014 -> 02:20 PM) No one technically reached on an error. The Sox have an error on the board, so what was that for?
ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 3, 2014 -> 01:21 PM) Those runs should definitely be unearned. They are, at least according to MLB Gameday.

chw42
QUOTE (TitoMB @ Apr 3, 2014 -> 02:22 PM) MLB Gameday scored them as unearned. They had them as earned earlier in the inning when I checked. I guess they changed it. Edit: they still have them as earned. caulfield12
Seems like whenever the White Sox have a chance to step on the neck of an opponent and sweep an opponent, they let it get away. After Mauer didn't hit a predictable double or homer ahead in the count, you ALMOST thought Quintana could get out of it...but, NAH, of course not. Mauer still doesn't have a hit, he and Semien have one thing in common this series.
ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 3, 2014 -> 01:21 PM) The Sox have an error on the board, so what was that for? The botched rundown attempt on Escobar. He didn't REACH because of an error though, he just advanced because of one. Either way, all 3 runs are unearned, I'm not sure where the confusion is. I'm not sure why anyone is throwing in the towel on this game. The Twins aren't good.

It's a shame Flowers and the defense cost him a shot at going deep in this game. Flowers passed ball was the most excusable. It was a ball that was swung at and in the dirt. The rundown was bush league and Avi's BS dive attempt were just pathetic.
