greg775
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 5, 2014 -> 09:57 PM) Left a fastball right out over the heart of the plate. Cleto has no clue where the ball's going. And the White Sox bullpen implodes again, despite the CS. Passed ball on Nieto. 90 losses is looking generous. 95 would be an improvement over last year. I expect 92-95 losses. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 5, 2014 -> 09:58 PM) You could just say he may be the worst manager in baseball, and I doubt you'd get many complaints. I guess Robin thought Moose was due (ha ha). Robin is the sacrificial lamb manager during our "rebuild."
Rowand44
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 5, 2014 -> 03:54 PM) Webb threw 4 innings a few days ago, he's gassed. He threw 2.2 on Wednesday, I'm sure he could have went today. Either way, putting in Cleto there and pitching to Perez was the worst possible decision. caulfield12
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 5, 2014 -> 02:58 PM) It was a hanging slider. Whatever it was...Cleto's not a good match-up with Perez. Everyone could see that one coming. Getting beat on a major league below average pitch is even worse in that situation.
South Side Fireworks Man
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 5, 2014 -> 03:59 PM) Funny thing is he has somehow outmanaged this board this year already. Either way, putting in Cleto there and pitching to Perez was the worst possible decision. 2.2? Felt like it was more, my bad. Regardless, he threw more pitches than a MRP/SU should ever throw. Either way, putting in Cleto there and pitching to Perez was the worst possible decision. It shouldn't have mattered who the righty reliever was. You had the open base with 2 outs, with one hitter batting .500 and the other without a hit. I didn't even think it would be a difficult decision. greg775
Cleto's fastball must be awfully straight. If he throws that hard and still is lousy.

Same with Jones...throwing 95-100 doesn't matter if the batter's sitting on it. And yeah, it's not with a ton of movement. Or, I should say...Cleto just has no idea of command or where the ball's going. Edited April 5, 2014 by caulfield12

Probably not this early in the season. Royals fans would have been incensed had Moose made an out. They'd have wanted a pinch hitter.

caulfield12
Garcia on 2nd with two chances to score him. Eaton swung at ball four...split finger was difficult for him to pick up. Almost the same situation we faced in Game 3 at Minny, except runner was on 3rd with 1 out. Let's see if we can actually get a clutch hit here this time.
