flavum
Axelrod off to a good start. I think they said in spring he changed his mechanics a little bit. I know he's a whipping boy around here, but the Sox need a long reliever in the pen. If he puts up 3-4 good starts, and the pen still sucks, I wouldn't mind him coming back in May. --- Barnum RBI single Davidson 2 RBI doubles Phegley is swinging a hot bat. No matter what happens, think they will give Flowers at least two months before throwing in the towel. We've seen this show before. With both of them. winninguglyin83
Keep an eye on Engel. He has a chance. could have been a big 10 football player but concentrated on baseball. can run, catch and throw. didn't hit last year, but he's been solid as a pro. Ozzie Ball
QUOTE (danman31 @ Apr 7, 2014 -> 05:47 AM) So a single really. Haha. That was my first thought when I watched the video also.
ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Apr 6, 2014 -> 10:21 PM) Inside the park HR for Trey. My god, the slice and drive on that ball, that was impressive. I wonder if hitting lefty is considered his "strong side", because he crushed that. ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Apr 6, 2014 -> 10:34 PM) If this guy can hit at all, he'll be so awesome. I see videos posted of his defense every day on twitter. Apparently he's just sick with the glove. I guess a Jose Igelsias, Didi Gregorious type if he can get even a marginal bat to get him to the majors.
ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Apr 6, 2014 -> 11:39 PM) Keep an eye on Engel. He has a chance. could have been a big 10 football player but concentrated on baseball. can run, catch and throw. didn't hit last year, but he's been solid as a pro. IIRC, he was a very promising college player that was supposed to be taken in the top 10 rounds until a weak junior year that caused him to slip quite a bit. The idea that he would go back to school to improve his stock made him fall even further. Sox grabbed him and he seems to have brought his game back up to that level. I was really excited when we drafted him. He looked good in the few games I saw of him in the CWS.
