Horford transferring. Oh well. He was pretty soft for a big guy. Wonder if this means McGary returning.

Nik denying reports he's leaving. Most assuming he's gone so not sure why he's denying it.

I certainly wouldn't describe a guy who was a fantastic defensive rebounder as soft. I have to imagine that this means McGary is returning or its a really odd move since Horford would have seen a ton of playing time next year. If McGary goes pro Michigan is going to be absolutely dreadful defensively next year now though.

Fantastic defensive rebounder? He averaged 4 a game.

They were pretty bad defensively this year w/o McGary, so if he leaves it wouldn't matter.

His defensive rebounding rate was 2nd in the conference and his offensive rebounding rate was 4th. That is a fantastic rebounder.

And they were pretty bad defensively while having good defenders and rebounders in Morgan and Horford playing center. If you don't have McGary I really don't see who protects the rim or grabs rebounds on that roster so what was a pretty bad defense this year could get even worse and certainly won't improve and unless Michigan is just as efficient offensively next year as this year it is really tough to win big when you are that bad defensively.

My rankings right now:

Wisconsin

crapshoot

Rutgers

Wisconsin is a clear favorite and Rutgers is the definitely the worst team. I would say you are looking at Michigan, Ohio State, Illinois, Maryland, Iowa and Nebraska as the next 6 in some order with all being tourney teams. Northwestern, Purdue, Penn St., and Rutgers definitely won't make the tourney.

I really have no idea how Indiana will be next year. You could tell me they'll finish .500 and miss the NIT again or finish 3rd in the Big Ten and go to the Sweet Sixteen and I'd believe you.

Shooting should definitely improve, as Blackmon is a straight stud there (might be the best shooter in the class, won the McD's 3-point contest too). Johnson is no slouch there, either. Also gives us some additional ballhandlers. Hopefully that will cut down on the turnovers, because that absolutely has to improve. Don't really have a true big (even if we land that Trevor Thompson, he has to sit out a year), biggest guy on the court will be Mosquera-Perea or Devin Davis. Could be successful if they play similar to how Duke did at a lot of times.

Also hoping for a real big leap from Troy Williams. He could be a real, real good player. If not this year, then his junior year. Just gotta put the work in, that talent and athleticism is there in spades.

McGary almost has to come back. Teams will want to see him play before drafting him high.

Keep being told per multiple industry sources that Florida is in the mix for Michigan transfer Jon Horford.

Makes sense. Not only did his brother play there, but Florida is going to need some bigs next year. Would be a good fit.

Nik definitely has the skills, swagger, and wort ethic to be productive in the NBA.

GR3...um, he can jump.

A lot of mock drafts have the Bulls taking him at 16 with the Charlotte pick.

Brian Gregory seems like a great fit for Missouri!!

I am but I also feel like program is in as bad of shape as when Snyder left. When Ryan Rosburg was the star of Haith's recruiting class...well. I've never seen Freshman show so little development.

Coaching searches can be fun, but often times they are depressing. I do not think we'll get a superstar, but there seems to be more talent available this year than when Anderson left.

Also f*** haith.

Ha, y'all can't wait to get rid of that guy. I can't blame you. It was a questionable hire to begin with, and he hasn't proven much.
