Buehrle>Wood
Clear over and back. Then random whistle which apparently nothing at all was called?
RockRaines
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 7, 2015 -> 01:17 PM) Well, Indiana now has to win at least one more game...and pray for a limited number of conf tourney upsets. Pretty sure they need at least two wins.
whitesoxfan99
Put Tate on the bench and keep him there.
Jenksismyhero
A shame if they lose this given the defense they played the first 10 minutes. Should have put the game out of reach but couldn't capitalize.
whitesoxfan99
And the replay on that last Rice jump shot is exactly why I complain about refs. Davis held and grabbed him multiple times and they didn't call it. Any contact on Illinois at the other end is being called today. Purdue fouls on every single possession and has 6 fouls on them in the game. It is ridiculous.
Buehrle>Wood
If Purdue makes the tournament it'll be fun to see how their "defense" goes.
Jenksismyhero
Patented Groce 2nd half collapse
whitesoxfan99
It's infuriating that Groce won't go to a big lineup without a PG. Tate f***ing sucks.
Brian
Brilliant analogy. "If they make shots down the stretch, I like their chances."
whitesoxfan99
Illinois got a call there. Bad play by tate and he got bailed out.
whitesoxfan99
I just don't understand why he insists on playing Tate or Starks at all times. Go big and let Rice initiate the offense.
Buehrle>Wood
QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 7, 2015 -> 05:22 PM) I just don't understand why he insists on playing Tate or Starks at all times. Go big and let Rice initiate the offense. Right? He likely runs the offense better anyways. Or at least not worse.
whitesoxfan99
That ball was clearly off Thompson. Amazing how many calls college refs miss.
Buehrle>Wood
Lol that was off Purdue right in front of the ref. Seriously?

whitesoxfan99
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 7, 2015 -> 06:26 PM) Right? He likely runs the offense better anyways. Or at least not worse. I don't mind playing Starks for stretches because he can get hot but Tate is dreadful. Not close to a Big 10 player. And since we were playing zone on D for a lot of this game you get the added benefit or extra length on D if you have Colbert or Black in. Boogua
QUOTE (Soxfest @ Mar 7, 2015 -> 06:35 PM) John "NIT' Groce is his trademark Luckily for him he doesn't have to worry about being fired this year due to the dumpster fire he inherited along with major injuries this year. If he misses next year he's gone though.
whitesoxfan99
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 7, 2015 -> 06:35 PM) Illinois 3-22 in the half. Refs kept Purdue in game in first half and illinois with just a garbage performance from the 2 minute mark of the first half on.
Buehrle>Wood
I think our resume is still better than Purdues, at least as it stands now.
whitesoxfan99
Illinois really needs to land Lovett (and have him qualify) or bring a 5th year PG. Tate is probably the worst guard in the Big 10 that actually gets minutes. Even with Illinois having a scholarship open I hope he transfers. He just isn't good enough for this level. Dick Allen
I think Illinois would probably be the greatest program in college basketball history if it wasn't for referees. Generations of referees have been out to get the Illini. Illini fans need to watch more games and realize every single team is the victim of bad calls especially when you are on the road in Big 10 games. Generations of referees have been out to get the Illini. Illini fans need to watch more games and realize every single team is the victim of bad calls especially when you are on the road in Big 10 games. Its Purdue. Its a lot more than just bad there, though that is the usual. They foul literally every defensive possession and the refs just let them get away with it. Its why Keadys teams could destroy the B1G and never do anything In the tournament and his disciple Painter looks to follow in his foot steps.
