Chisoxfn
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 6, 2014 -> 12:49 PM) I don't really care that they added 2 schools out east - you still should put the tournament in a centralized location, so it's easier for more schools to get to. This hurts a ton of fan bases, especially those that decide to make the drive in day 2 or 3 as their team advances. DC makes that almost impossible. Of course they don't put this there if there aren't 2 new schools...but why are they? It's a fair question, because putting a PAC12 tournament on the east coast is similar what the DC tournament will be for the majority of the teams. No one, at the moment, considers Washington DC a B10 market. It's a terrible idea to put the tournament at the very outskirts of your "territory." The "there are things to do in DC" doesn't really do much when you have Chicago to work with. I don't think for Joe Wisconsin fan sitting up there, he's going to be more apt to make the trip there than to Chicago or Indy because there are things to see. It's more of an inconvenience. Its a long drive for a lot of the schools in the big anyway and a lot of alumni are located elsewhere and in this day and age, if you are going to fly, it doesn't matter if you fly to New York or Indy. Mountains out of mole hills here. It isn't like they are going to have this thing in a market that doesn't have the BIG. This is great for the conference and should provide and generate more revenues for the conference which helps every team in the conference get more money and ideally better facilities, etc, which should help every team. Buehrle>Wood
I was wondering why he was trending on twitter. Actually I still am wondering because who cares about Darius Paul? Anyways, thought: -weird there's no even smoke as what went on here. It's clear it's something more than the police report last month. -Wonder if he ever suits up for Illinois. Is the 4 in 5 rule still a thing if he's not on scholarship? I kind of expect to never see him as an Illini. -We're back to being thin at the 4. Hill and Black aren't quite true 4s, Colbert needs to make some strides and I doubt Finke is a factor. -Hope a 5th year transfer pops up. Kind of late though. -lol at Stephen Bardo. He looks like an even bigger idiot than he did before.

Internet rumor is that he's a big drinker and wasn't putting basketball high on the priority list. I wonder if that's why he ran from the cops - he knew he was about to be f***ed for good. Right, I mean a DUI has been punished as little as one quarter at some places, so this must have been a lot of stuff.
Brian
Thought maybe he turned a corner in college. Was in trouble a few times in high school. Was involved in a situation where another player was booted from team while he was saved. Brandon was arrogant in HS but never was in trouble. greg775
How bout that situation at Oregon? Losing 3 scholarship players! Reading the police report on the rape, it was troubling. The 3 guys brought the college woman into a bathroom for sex at a party, then later they took a cab to her apartment and took her to the bedroom. The 3 guys will not be charged but were kicked out of school. Idiots. I feel for the woman. On the court ... do you guys think Cliff Alexander will be an immediate star at Kansas and b.) do you think he's a certain one and done? How often do the players get drug tested? Do they know ahead of time? When I was in school, I definitely knew of some of the athletes that liked to smoke, but maybe it wasn't during the season. Dick Allen
It is a little strange a DUI can get you suspended for a game or a half of a game, but do a bong in your dorm room, you may have to sit out a season.
