Less than 14k in attendance? All things considered, that's shockingly low on a Friday night with warmer weather and Sale pitching.

I was there and even though I didn't have an exact number I knew the stadium still had well under 20 k. I can't say I'm surprised but watching this team and they're exciting and young and take you on a roller coaster,it's fun and sometimes it sucks but it's really tough to see the stadium so empty on a 60 degree Friday night game with Sale pitching.April or not.

It'd be fun to go to a game with that kind of weather and that kind of crowd, just spread out and watch some good hitting.

Sounds like the Sox are like they were as a franchise before the WS title. An afterthought. All the momentum from the title is officially gone. Ticket sales probably won't improve until we at the minimum win a division again.

I still say baseball is an awfully expensive outing, but I know most of you disagree with me on that. The radio guys were complaining about the Royals' attendance here and they never once mentioned the cost of going to a game if you have a family of 3-4. Royals are in the same boat. Until they actually win something, nobody's going to go out of their way to attend and pay that kind of jack.

The Sox are actually making some games super cheap now. I remember Brooks saying you could get parking and a family of four in seats for $30 during some specials.

If this offense keeps up, we'll start pulling in a normal number of people. I almost went to this one, but live in Peoria so it was a little too much for the wife.

I think there is a significant fan problem. Last night the White Sox were by far the lowest draw in baseball. Unfortunately Tampa Bay which usually gets that honor was on the road. Obviously the season ticket sales tanked this year which is the core of most teams attendance. Hopefully the Sox react and offer packages conducive to getting fannies back in the seats.

They've already attempted to do that, with lots of discounts and packages and family days.

Now they're dealing with the assumption by fans that buying tickets for any April night games will be brutally cold...so everyone just waits until the 2nd half of May (except for on the Northside).

We're now in last place (albeit five games, and all of them weekday until last night) in all of MLB attendance, behind TB and CLE. That's got to be setting off some alarm bells at 35th and Shields.

One thing they can do is feature Abreu more prominently in ads. Hopefully he can be ROY and Top 5 AL MVP.

Sundays you can get 4 tickets for $5 each, and park for $10.

Off topic, has anyone got access to # pitches per AB as a team stat to this point this year, versus the same point last year? We are just seeing so many more pitches, even the guys who are still hear from last year seem to be seeing more pitches.

It is going to be like this for a while. People aren't going to just start showing up after a 6-5 start. The White Sox bandwagon doesn't work that way. We are talking about at least summer break before we start seeing a bounce.
