caulfield12
Quintana was at 93 with some of his pitches. I think they're simply getting a scouting report to sit on his inside cutters/sliders and cheating there...he's got to start breaking his pattern and going outside and varying things up a bit (White Sox hitters are looking all outside against Lewis). Balta1701
QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 19, 2014 -> 09:31 PM) He had extra day of rest with off day. Most of the fastballs I've seen from him are 90 and that's well below what his pitchFX fastball has been the last couple games. The results speak for themselves. caulfield12
So let's just hope this is Quintana's dead arm period...the first one after spring training that all pitchers usually go through.

caulfield12
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 19, 2014 -> 07:44 PM) The balloon popped as soon as Bradley Jr. doubled off of Leury. There was actually good energy it seemed around the team. Or going with Cleto over Lindstrom. But yeah...two outs, the possibility of somehow getting the game to the bottom of the inning for what would have been a simply huge win...now Abreu's way down and slumping, too. Seems we really need that energy from the top three of the line-up.
