flavum
Scott Carroll probably not an option...especially now. 3 walks and 5 runs in the first.

caulfield12
Hawkins with a K 19/57 (.333) with 4 walks. 20/58 (.345) now Wilkins and Black both struggling mightily for the Knights. Wonder if we'll ever see Deunte Heath in a White Sox uniform again? Edited April 20, 2014 by caulfield12

DirtySox
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 19, 2014 -> 08:19 PM) Micah Johnson making very few outs of late. I was expecting some struggles with Micah, but I'm pleasantly surprised. Him and Trayce are tearing it up so far.

caulfield12
Winston Salem now 4-12. Yikes. Ugly ugly starts for May and Barnum. Both might be headed to Kanny in the next month.

ChiliIrishHammock24
Davidson - 1/3, HR, RBI, BB, K. Micah - 1/1, 1 RBI, 3 BB, 3 SB, E Ravelo - 1/1, 2B, 2 BB, SB Recchia - 7 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 9 K - He's a 25-year-old RHP, so he really should be dominating. If not sooner, depending on what happens with Alexei Ramirez getting traded...and whatever ends up happening with Semien/Beckham/Carlos Sanchez. ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 19, 2014 -> 09:53 PM) DEFINITELY. If not sooner, depending on what happens with Alexei Ramirez getting traded...and whatever ends up happening with Semien/Beckham/Carlos Sanchez. Alexei better get traded before he comes back down to a .260 average with like 5 HR by July.
SoxAce
Right there with Dan on the Trayce bandwagon.. well.. I need to be considering how much I've pimped him up since he was drafted. Micah however, has been one of the biggest surprises in our whole minors.
maggsmaggs
Have to love that Trayce has really improved his contact rate while increasing his walk rate. While he has not shown a ton of power this year, we know that will come. But he's a very quality defensive player and now is showing a very solid eye at the plate. Micah is just a stud. Hopefully both these guys continue to develop and are major-league ready for next year. Many people might disagree with this statement, but I feel like Micah is as good a player as Billy Hamilton. He just has not been hyped up as much. Numbers are not that far off.

He just has not been hyped up as much. Numbers are not that far off. I'd like to believe this, but many times a player is substituting contact for power, especially one whose biggest obstacle to advancement has been his K rate. Still, it's promising. More telling to me, though, will be how he adapts to AAA if he's able to make that jump at midseason. As for Micah, his hit tool is starting to look legit and may have been underrated by some. The K/BB improvement is a great sign that he's adapting his game to maximize his loud speed tool. AND the wife thinks he's much hotter than even Matt D, so there's that. GGajewski18
I never knew Trayce Thompson was related to Golden State Warriors SG Klay Thompson. That's pretty cool. Other than that, glad to see Thompson and Johnson start off great with the Barons.
MnSoxFan
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Apr 20, 2014 -> 01:44 PM) I never knew Trayce Thompson was related to Golden State Warriors SG Klay Thompson. That's pretty cool. Other than that, glad to see Thompson and Johnson start off great with the Barons. Their dad, Mychael, was a better athlete than either of the two kids, and that is saying something.
