Dick Allen
QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Apr 27, 2014 -> 05:10 PM) Also, not just mistakes. He's been killing stuff at the periphery of the zone. Just awesome to watch. Price became unglued after the bunt he threw away and then when Eaton scored. Abreu almost got him the time before, but it looked like a golf ball when he did take him out. There was an east wind over 30. On a summer day with the wind blowing the other way, that may have had a shot at the concourse.

Jose Abreu
The bad news is that we will see a lot of intentional walks this year. Well, I guess that can be good news.

I use to never miss a Richie Allen at bat then came The Big hurt and now we have Abreau, but this guy seems to do the impossible and apparently hasn't reached his peak. witesoxfan
QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Apr 27, 2014 -> 04:59 PM) He won't be worth the money, though. His power is his only tool. Sincerely, ESPN and Fangraphs ESPN largely ignored it. FanGraphs liked the move with caution because he wasn't an athletic player and it's hard to know exactly how stats will translate. Abreu's have translated well thus far. The scary thing to me is that I think he's a better hitter than he's shown thus far. Maybe not power wise, but he looks like a .300+ hitter at the plate. Chisoxfn
Heck of a first start and got to love what you are seeing but know there will be a learning curve as the league continues to try and adjust to him. He seems like he has the right head on his shoulders and the right approach to be able to adjust and continue to succeed though. Been a beast thus far.
