caulfield12
QUOTE (flavum @ May 21, 2014 -> 09:03 PM) Francisco will be DFA tomorrow, per Dan Hayes. Carroll to the pen. That's reassuring, NOT. His family's really holding out hope for that MLB pension money, though. It's a cool side note, at least.

southsider2k5
Dan Hayes @DanHayesCSN 2h Chris Sale never felt pushed by #WhiteSox to hurry rehab, feels so confident he's at 100 percent he's skipping. http://bit.ly/RWWw1c

chitownsportsfan
At this point the fact that sales elbow hasn't blown up with that motion perhaps is evidence that he has top percentile ligament strength and that if he does have problems it won't be the elbow, maybe shoulder. I hope that's the case.
Dick Allen
QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 23, 2014 -> 02:24 PM) At this point the fact that sales elbow hasn't blown up with that motion perhaps is evidence that he has top percentile ligament strength and that if he does have problems it won't be the elbow, maybe shoulder. I hope that's the case. I hope that's the case, but it's nothing but wishful thinking. Some guys blow out their elbows when they are 16 some guys blow them out in their 30s with over 2000 IP in the major leagues. To declare now he won't have elbow problems, while hopefully true, makes zero sense medically.

southsider2k5
JJ Stankevitz @JJStankevitz 7m Chris Sale says everything feels normal after his start yesterday, though he's usually more sore 2 days date a start. #WhiteSox
chitownsportsfan
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 23, 2014 -> 02:33 PM) And a shoulder injury is the last thing you want to see with any pitcher. See Webb, Santana, Danks, etc. Oh for sure, but Sale's motion puts a tremendous amount of strain on his elbow, more than the shoulder, if somehow he manages not to injure the elbow maybe it means he's just stronger built ligament wise then your average MLB pitcher. Now that won't help with a shoulder injury, but it's one less thing to worry about. This is just a hairbrained theory anyways. TINSNAAPP and all that applies.
