There it is!! A game day thread is not complete until Feeky mentions that awful stat

It's pretty relevant when you have people freaking out about players in late April.

A look at the box score for our game on this day of last season and we have players batting:

.100

.125

.188

S*it happens in a small sample-size. If De Aza is still hitting like this in a month, come back to me. For now I'll go ahead and side with the much greater track record and the fact that balls just aren't falling for him.

There's a lot of people that aren't going to like Ale no matter what. His bat will be fine, no worries there.

As Ditka says "Losers and cowards live in the past" my friend. Give up the ghost ADA not worth defending.

I'm a fan of his bat, but you can tell he's not picking up the ball at all at the plate. More checked-swings this year than any other Sox player I've seen in a month span.

You can't tell me De Aza has been hitting the ball hard. He has had some s***ty check swing calls on him, I will give him that. But he hasn't been hitting the ball hard enough for me to say balls aren't falling for him
