He isn't exactly showing he is ready for high stakes work right now...

No fastball today. Whether it's from pitching 3 innings a few times this season or just a dead arm today, I'm not sure.

Not overly worried about the result today but the velocity is a concern.

Agreed, but I do wonder if he'd pick up 2-3 mph of velocity in a closing situation? If not, you have to wonder if he's injured. Fastball is way down today.

Someone posted earlier saying the gun was 2-3 mphs off which seems to be true. Scherzer, Q, Cleto, Webb have all been slower than usual.

I'll take 2 of 4 from tigers

Yup, in Detroit facing Max and Verlander. Not to mention we are REBUILDING.

We've trotted out Charlie f***ing Leesman in this series.

Win or lose, it's great to see an offense that you think can rally from any deficit! It's scary how much this Sox team reminds me of the Bears from last year.

As long as Sox defense does not look like Bears last year, I will take the offensive numbers.

Yeah it is. If we had an actual bullpen we'd have an outside shot at competing this year. Team definitely has shown signs of a bright future, which is the least you can ask out of a young team

Especially in Detroit, without your leadoff man, facing their best pitchers.

And our ace. I think going into the series everyone would be happy with a split but today's result is still frustrating.
