Beckham's going yard

Nice thought anyway. Gordon has to get his timing back against a major league pitcher and it can't be easy facing Scherzer in your first game back

I meant to say "in Birmingham"

Wish he'd have just stayed there.......for the whole season. Though in Birmingham they were probably wishing he'd get demoted to Winston-Salem.

Beckham is just done in a White Sox uniform.

Granted, it's Max Scherzer, but Max is throwing in the low 90's today...not 95-98.

Wow! First game back in the bigs since ST and he's already history?

HE SHOULD BE HISTORY.

Yes, we'll see him muddle along around 215-230 and eventually he'll quietly be traded away as a utility guy, but his career as an everyday starting 2B with the Sox is coming to a close.

The team just has a much different energy with Semien and Eaton at the top of the line-up.

Eric Bedard starting for the Rays today. Another reclamation/Paulino/Hansonesque project.

Semien is in the line up today. Beckham is basically taking an injured Gillaspie's place.

Is there any way Beckham doesn't strike out at like a 35%+ clip before we finally get him out of the starting lineup?

Seeing as he's never struck out more than 20% clip in his career I'd say yes, there is a way he doesn't.

3 AB and he's done in a White Sox uniform. Some of the stuff you post is beyond funny.

Over/under on Beckham having a BA over .240 with the White Sox in 2014?

I'll wager any amount on the under. Care to take that bet?

You just don't get over oblique strains easily. Hawk is right about that one thing. And a 100% healthy Beckham wasn't that good in the first place offensively.

And your over-the-top smart aleckness posting this season (especially about Don Cooper) is below you and intellectually lazy.

You have a 50/50 chance of winning that or failing. Were is your money first?
