flavum
I'm surprised there's any amount of debate about Beckham. He can't hit. He's worn out his welcome. And there's plenty in the pipeline now to replace him. So he'll play---and he'll suck. And then he'll be gone after this year.
BigHurt3515
QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 24, 2014 -> 02:06 PM) Pineda got 10 games suspension for his pine tar neck crap. So he misses 2 starts.. Good. Guy is an idiot

cabiness42
Q having 2 out trouble today Yeah, the 2-out runs are frustrating, but if you tell me that a pitcher starting at Detroit is going to get through 6 innings with 3 runs, 7 hits, and no walks, you'd take that 11 times out of 10. caulfield12
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Apr 24, 2014 -> 01:06 PM) You have a 50/50 chance of winning that or failing. Were is your money first? Fine, you can make up the stakes. If I win, we don't have to hear anymore about how Don Cooper is a mediocre pitching coach anymore.

Dick Allen
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 24, 2014 -> 02:05 PM) Over/under on Beckham having a BA over .240 with the White Sox in 2014? I'll wager any amount on the under. Care to take that bet? You just don't get over oblique strains easily. Hawk is right about that one thing. And a 100% healthy Beckham wasn't that good in the first place offensively. And your over-the-top smart aleckness posting this season (especially about Don Cooper) is below you and intellectually lazy. Sure, whatever you want to bet is fine. But why .240, you posted earlier he would be hitting .215. A little nervous? Edited April 24, 2014 by Dick Allen

ChiliIrishHammock24
This has got to be the must unimpressed and least convincing .400 I've ever seen a player hit 3 weeks in to a season. His BA could be .200 right now and I'd believe it.

flavum
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 24, 2014 -> 02:08 PM) Don't want to be stuck watching him all year I hope not either, but I'm not holding my breath on teams wanting him. Maybe they give him every opportunity to make himself tradeable before August 1, and if he doesn't get traded, he's the extra infielder the rest of the season, and they non-tender him (if it comes to that). caulfield12
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 24, 2014 -> 01:10 PM) Sure, whatever you want to bet is fine. But why .240, you posted earlier he would be hitting .215. A little nervous? So we'll trade, I won't EVER mention Puig again if Beckham hits over .240 in a White Sox uniform in 2014. You have to give up the Cooper fascination until Opening Day, 2015.

His turn only comes up one time in the next 17 games due to conveniently-scheduled off days, so it's not a major hit to the Yankees
