Feeky Magee
We should definitely keep putting the guy who walked 53 batters in 53.1 AAA innings last year in for 1-run games. It's solid as heck planning. Edited April 24, 2014 by Feeky Magee

fathom
QUOTE (scs787 @ Apr 24, 2014 -> 07:26 PM) Perhaps Coop has gotten him to take a few MPHs off to get some more control like he's done with other pitchers? Given the way the pitching has been the last two years, maybe they need to focus a bit more on velocity.

ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 24, 2014 -> 02:29 PM) This coaching staff likes Cleto way too much. That's because no one can hit off the guy. Unfortunately, no one has to because he has no idea where he is throwing it. I think they are expecting if he just throws it over the plate, the hitter won't stand a chance.
fathom
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 24, 2014 -> 08:30 PM) Cleto is a tire fire It's scary how much he resembles the relievers they brought in for 2007 and thought would be effective.

Dick Allen
The problem is, there aren't many options. Soxtalk wants Webb to pitch the 8th or close, so if Ventura put him in during the 7th, he's a dumbass.

Yes it is. That team started off pretty well too and then the bullpen couldn't throw a strike. They are kind of doing the same thing this year that they did then. I just hope it doesn't lead to another overreaction with them giving a $20 million contract to a middle reliever.
greg775
I'd rather have Clete Boyer than Cleto. Hope Lexi is OK. It'd be Beckham time at shortstop right?
