flavum
QUOTE (Hawkfan @ Apr 27, 2014 -> 04:09 PM) Alright!!!!! This season could be interesting! Damn right. If they win tomorrow, the Sox hit the 1/6 mark at 14-13. And that's with Sale missing two starts and a terrible bullpen. If they get healthy, and the pen settled a bit, their best baseball may be ahead of them.

BigHurt3515
Can we finally get back over .500? Hope Rienzo comes up big as well. Hold them to 4 runs or under

Let me nominate Nick McCully, wtf Edited April 27, 2014 by Stan Bahnsen
flavum
QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Apr 27, 2014 -> 04:24 PM) Do we know it's Axe, by elimination? That's my guess. I don't see how it can be anyone else. Hanson probably needs more time, and Surkamp just pitched yesterday.

flavum
QUOTE (Vance Law @ Apr 27, 2014 -> 04:29 PM) Why wouldn't Carroll get another shot? We're talking about Wednesday, when somebody needs to pitch in Johnson's old spot.

TitoMB345
Nice game! Abreu now has 10 HRs and 31 RBIs.. in 26 games! Holy crap. Just get that OBP up a bit. Carroll.. what a story. Good for him! I bet he feels untouchable right now. He pitched a hell of a game too.

Please If they don't have to use the pen too much tomorrow, maybe they can get away with a bullpen day of: Putnam 3-4 innings Cleto 2 innings Noesi 2 innings Edited April 27, 2014 by flavum

Buehrle>Wood
Starting Axelrod will surely kill every bit of momentum we have had this season. Not really but still
flavum
Axelrod is scheduled to start for Charlotte tomorrow, so if he doesn't then we know what's up. With 8 in the pen right now, they could probably get by with Putnam starting and hope for the best.

You're doing your schedule/timeline thing again...must be a positive sign! By the way, would you rather have Reed OR Santos, Peavy and Rios OR Tanaka? It's an interesting question. For this year, definitely you'd pick having the better bullpen and the starting pitched shored up. Long-term, of course, Tanaka...assuming he's healthy in years 4-7 of that deal.
