Charlotte is a s*** show right now, even more so once Conor and Kepp come back. Semien and Garcia might get sent down and both Sanchez and Saladino have been playing really well elevating their respective prospect statues again.

 

Saladino - .291/.347/.477 -.824 8.8BB% 14.3K% .195ISO .328BABIP (only 18 points higher than what originally put him on the prospect map at A+) over his last ten he has been in a slump .184/.205/.368 -.574. Saladino will be 25 in July if he keeps up this pace there is a good chance we see him in September. He has the ability to be a 15+HR threat at the sacrifice of some average and discipline and his swing can get a bit long if he goes that route, his defense at short is average as well. Honestly everything about Saladino reminds me of Mark Derosa from his draft status(7th rounders) to physical description 6'1 200ish to tools and what appears to be minor league track record. His ceiling could be a great bench piece that unlocks his tools into skills and develops into a solid regular.

 

Sanchez - .292/.369/.337 -.706 9.8BB% 20.6K% .046ISO .368BABIP he has the hit tool to sustain a .330+BABIP, over his last 10 games he has been on a tear .429/.500/.486 -.986 and his glove at 2B has been reported to be well above average boarding on special. Sanchez is only 21 and will turn 22 in late June so there is plenty of time for development at AAA, he could repeat the level 2 more times and still be one pace for a great major league career. His profile to me screams Everth Cabrera and Erick Aybar or Alexei Ramirez in a down year.

 

So having said all that it might be a while till Micah makes it to AAA because of the log jam of depth at 2B and the middle infield in general.
