Feeky Magee
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 29, 2014 -> 09:34 PM) Viciedo will probably DH long-term. At least, I hope so. It's a minus that you'll even have to have one of Viciedo/Garcia out there but yeah, god bless the DH
Rowand44
QUOTE (DashFan @ Apr 29, 2014 -> 10:34 PM) We didn't have the lead. You don't take one of your best hitters out of the game in a 3-3 tie. Hindsight 20/20, etc. No, you're absolutely right.
RockRaines
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 29, 2014 -> 10:34 PM) Because their team made a perfectly executed play after we tried a similar play and failed miserably (again, and again) So that's managing and not execution? Classic.
Soxfest
These are still the type of games Sox never seem to win.

fathom
Worst loss of the season. I don't get having Konerko hit for Semien there at all, as Semien has more power than PK and has been clutch this year.

RockRaines
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 29, 2014 -> 10:36 PM) Worst loss of the season. I don't get having Konerko hit for Semien there at all, as Semien has more power than PK and has been clutch this year. It's April. We will lose many more games. chw42
Tank needs to be in left field, where he's less awful.
Buehrle>Wood
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 30, 2014 -> 03:36 AM) So that's managing and not execution? Classic. Um yes? Suicide squeezes are completely on the manager. And at some point management has to take blame when we fail the same basic routine over...And over...And over...And over...And over...again with many different players. fathom
QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 30, 2014 -> 03:37 AM) Tank needs to be in left field, where he's less awful. And where misplays result in a double and not triple.
Chicago White Sox
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 29, 2014 -> 10:36 PM) So that's managing and not execution? Classic. Maybe I'm wrong here, but Semien hasn't looked good on bunts. A good manager needs to know what his players are capable of. Therefore, that play was both bad managing and bad execution. caulfield12
QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 29, 2014 -> 09:36 PM) Worst loss of the season, for sure. Not by a longshot. It was one of the games that Semien should have won with late homers that we eventually lost. Because it's the Tigers, sure...one of those 54 games every season that could have gone either way, difference between 100/80/60 win teams. Rowand44
QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 29, 2014 -> 10:37 PM) Tank needs to be in left field, where he's less awful. He's literally just dropped 3 balls these last 3 games. I'm certainly not disagreeing that he's better in left but that shouldn't have mattered with these drops. caulfield12
How horrendous was Viciedo's error on a scale of 1 to 10? Lost it in the lights? Overran? Just a misplay? Whiffed? Juggled?

Buehrle>Wood
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 30, 2014 -> 03:36 AM) What happened?, haven't been able to follow any of the game....just through mobile phone while giving midterm exams, haha. Ventura called for the suicide squeeze. Semien fails miserably. Detroit then calls one against us and it was beautiful for them unfortunately. Chicago White Sox
As bad as Tank has been at times, he's still new to the position. I won't completely right him off yet, but he does profile better at DH obviously.

A great chance to get a win against Verlander with Cy Noesi facing Cy Scherzer the next day is an opportunity that's tough to let get away.
