I would love to see Victor Martinez take Dunn's spot next year. He would fit great in Sox lineup.

Gonna be a lot of money to spend if you want him, especially given the other holes this team will have.

V-Mart's a good hitter, but you'd like to have a better bat as your DH.

He's a .340-.350 wOBA guy, which is maybe barely above average among DHs.

.303 career hitter and OBP is .368 could do a lot worse than Victor at DH.

I like Victor, but he is going to get PAID. If we are spending money anywhere, I want a corner OF, 3B, or SP.

I agree Sox have other issues but at 36 next year he may be cheaper than people think in a 2 or 3 years deal.

Really, a 36 year old who already had a major injury is going to command a big, all-caps level contract?

Cleto walking over a batter an inning, same as at AAA Memphis last year. How long does he get if his control doesn't improve?

It is made easier and easier with guys like Putnam, Carroll, and Noesi showing good things. That lessens the amount of patience the team has to have.

You can do worse, but you have to realize he's 35 (36 next year) and he doesn't really catch anymore. He's a 1B/DH with an above average, but not spectacular bat.

I would pay him around $10-12 million a year, but that'd be a 1 or 2 year deal. There's a chance he can decline at anytime.
