Carroll hasn't had as much movement on his pitches this time out. He is still battling and doing a good job out there.

I guess a valid question is...is this a bad start for him?

Certainly he will have worse starts where he gives up a lot of earned runs and hits but he doesn't have his good stuff this outing but is still getting outs and not letting up runs. More of a scrappy good out.

Running Flowers there was dumb...with Semien's lack of contact this year. Of course, Masterson's been so tough against the White Sox, you can understand the desire to try to generate some offense, SOMEHOW. Although that simply puts even more pressure on Marcus, instead of allowing him to relax.

Can't ask anything more from Carroll than what he's giving.

Great defense last inning prevented this game from getting away early.

Indians with equally bad defense. White Sox also had a play on Bourn that could have been ruled an error...that Flowers didn't field cleanly.

30 errors by the Indians already. Making us look...if not good, at least not as terrible.

I mean, if this is him with less movement than his first start, can he maintain this level of success for a while?

Probably not every time he doesn't have as good as stuff as the first time. But he has also faced 2 poor hitting teams.

Axelrod-esque from Carroll, not breaking the 91 mark.

Danks 3/34 on the season. OUCH. Ramirez has K'ed on two balls that ended up in the LH batter's box twice this game. Typical of him in seasons past, when he needs to concentrate on getting the runner over to 3rd.

Santana, not exactly Victor Martinez, but not much better defensively at the catcher's spot.
