According to the Blue Jays. Not sure if this is a good thing.

Who got released by the Sox? Sierra homered against the Sox a few years ago I believe. I also just read he had the worst OBP in Blue Jays history for the month of April.

Nate Jones has been placed on the 60-day DL to make room.

I think Jones coming back this season is looking grim.

Wow, what the hell is wrong with him?

Is Sierra going to replace Eaton on the roster now?

I think Sierra will join the team Sunday. Then they'll send out a pitcher. They have 8 in the pen now.

Ya, Sierra is out of options. Also, I wonder what this means for the reason Davidson left today's game? Hopefully if it's an injury, it's nothing serious.

Steverson will fix 'em!

Seriously though, what's the scoop on this guy (hitting, fielding, arm, power, speed, etc.)? Does he have any potential to be productive or is he just a warm body?

Without knowing too much about him, he looks like a decent 4th outfielder. Decent pop in his bat. Good speed. Knows how to take an occasional walk.

Just hasn't hit major league pitching well yet.

Hard to believe Sox have nobody on the farm to call up but they don't. Thompson has to be getting close at some point.

He's not having a good season either. OPS all the way down to .711.

Sox arguably have the worst ML roster, having passed Houston on the way down. The minor league system has to be in the bottum five.

Houston's ML roster is way worse right now. The Sox have 2 superstars in Sale and Abreu, and Quintana is better than any pitcher they have.

Any roster with Sale and Abreu, not to mention Quintana, Ramirez, Viciedo, Dunn, Eaton and A. Garcia isn't close to being the worst roster.

Now if you're talking ACTIVE roster, without Sale, Eaton, Garcia, Nate Jones, that's another story altogether. Still would take Abreu + 24 than the Astros.

Why don't they bring up Gorkys Hernandez?

He has hit as many as 18 homers at the minor league level. Not much experience I don't believe

In 2012, John Sickels wrote that he had great power and a great arm, but the big undecided would be whether he would ever hit in the majors. He opined that he would not be as good as Raul Mondesi was, but that a better comparison would be to Jose Guillen. Like Jose, he forecast that he might develop relatively late. My guess is that the Sox are throwing the dice that there could be some upside with him.

Jones had a disc problem in his back. Last report was that he had injections to calm the inflammation. Obviously they didn't help. Not a good prognosis.

I'm not sure why you even follow baseball with an outlook like yours.
