Buehrle>Wood
Scott Carroll has a .68 ERA. Is that good? Did he beat the game?
flavum
Just for some perspective, this is the current roster: Lineup: De Aza, Beckham, Abreu, Dunn, Viciedo, Ramirez, Danks, Semien, Flowers Bench: Konerko, Sierra, Garcia, Nieto Rotation: Quintana, Danks, Noesi, Carroll, Rienzo Bullpen: Putnam, Cleto, Petricka, Webb, Downs, Belisario, Lindstrom Not a winning team. Get Sale, Eaton, and Gillaspie back and stay healthy the rest of the season, maybe they can win some games. Right now, not good enough...and possibly horrible. Take out Abreu it's the worst team in mlb on paper I would guess.
Eminor3rd
Yeah that pitching staff looks very Astros-y right now.
caulfield12
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 3, 2014 -> 07:59 PM) Take out Abreu it's the worst team in mlb on paper I would guess. On the other hand, take away Nate Jones, Sale, Eaton and Gillaspie and you're headed for trouble with most contending teams. Not to mention Erik Johnson and Davidson's non-performance issues, and now Semien as well. I'm also sure there will be a lot of comments about Semien's career track being derailed by the White Sox moving him all over the diamond instead of leaving him in one position (see Beckham, see Viciedo). Yes, the losses will likely start piling up in a hurry. April was magical and we still were no better than .500. Subtract a few players ... it's looking Astro and Cub-like. I seriously don't care if we're the worst team in all of mlb this year. It's almost preferred.
