caulfield12
QUOTE (La Marr Hoyt HOF @ May 7, 2014 -> 09:58 PM) White Sox hosting one game Wild Card playoff as of today ;-) Well, weren't we 26-26 last year at the end of May as well? I was expecting to see "flavum" as the poster for this one, haha.
Wanne
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 7, 2014 -> 10:47 PM) Cubs' announcers still whining about the Nieto walk, which preceded the Beckham homer. .356 average coming into tonight against the Cubs for Gordo. Carlos Lee-esque. I asked this the other day on facebook about just who the eff the Cubs announcers even were. I don't live in Chicago...nor give two s***s about watching them...but GOOD GOD are they awful!!!! They make Bob Brenly exciting. That's the best "America's Team" can actually come up with.....geez us. f***ing horrible....

I've gotten superstitious this series, I haven't turned it to the Score (Farmer/DJ) once, so I don't want to ruin the momentum, haha. Jake
Putting Starlin over Alexei ruins all credibility for the all-city team. I won't even bother looking at it

clyons
QUOTE (flavum @ May 7, 2014 -> 10:26 PM) Danks 5 out of 7 in quality starts....and he's made all of his starts. Danks is like the worst starter in MLB. Dan Bernstein said so.
cabiness42
Disagree. Kasper is really, really good. I would love Kasper and Stone in the booth for the Sox. I also like Kasper. He's very knowledgeable and he has enough excitement about his team that he's not dull but not so much excitement that he drives you nuts. Dick Allen
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 8, 2014 -> 10:00 AM) JJ Stankevitz @JJStankevitz 1m AM RT: John Danks and the #WhiteSox corrected some issues before an 8 K, 1 BB start vs. the #Cubs -- http://bit.ly/1l02JUk He obviously had nothing. Soxtalk posters can hit him. Just read the gamethread. He has no strikeout pitch.
Buehrle>Wood
Agreed his stuff was pretty poor. But he did a nice job of pitching through it and could not have faced a better opponent on a night like last night.
Dick Allen
Soxtalk's opinion on John Danks "stuff"= whatever the radar gun says. If it says 88, he obviously has nothing even though he isn't being hit hard.
Buehrle>Wood
Being hit hard or not on one night is a lot worse indicator of stuff than velocity to be fair. But points also brought up were an unwillingness to throw the change in key situations and lack of movement on his pitches.
Princess Dye
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 8, 2014 -> 10:13 AM) Soxtalk's opinion on John Danks "stuff"= whatever the radar gun says. If it says 88, he obviously has nothing even though he isn't being hit hard. By your metric then, the only way a pitcher can be bad is if the most recent outcome was poor? I'd advise you to look at Danks overall since injury and then tell me you're pleased with what he is now. I am not.
