caulfield12
Two balls that shouldn't have been cut off by Goldschmidt and Owings that might have resulted in outs. Trevor Cahill warming up already.

caulfield12
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 9, 2014 -> 07:19 PM) Sierra has been pretty decent with the bat He looked Viciedo-esque in RF, but all is forgiven since he's been hitting well for us. Wow. 9 hits. Crazy. Only one out, 7 runs. Haven't seen that in a long time.
flavum
Did not see this coming after the first three innings. Alexei Vintage 2008 was nice.

Soxfest
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 9, 2014 -> 08:20 PM) McCarthy is in full meltdown mode out of the stretch. De Aza 2 hits in a inning the mother of all meltdowns.
caulfield12
QUOTE (Marty34 @ May 9, 2014 -> 07:23 PM) If the Sox keep hitting like this some smart team is going to offer Severson a managing job this winter. Why would you take a manager away from his core area of competency and make him a generalist when he's a hitting specialist? I don't think Cooper, despite his ego/hubris believing him capable, would make a good manager at all...simply because the media would eat him alive eventually, too prickly and defensive. caulfield12
That was over quickly. Depending on how Abreu looks the next time up, Ventura might want to give Konerko some more at-bats. Edited May 10, 2014 by caulfield12

caulfield12
QUOTE (flavum @ May 9, 2014 -> 07:28 PM) Mark Parent is managing tomorrow. Ventura's daughter graduating from Ok St. Arenado's hitting streak on the line in the 9th. Tanaka still throwing zero's against the Brewers. Dreaded 2 out hit. Sierra showed a nice arm on the previous double, made it close. Edited May 10, 2014 by caulfield12

caulfield12
Arenado walked on a 3-2 pitch to put a baserunner on since the Rockies are losing in the 9th in Cincy. Could still go to extras. 10+ pitch at-bat against Broxton.

caulfield12
QUOTE (flavum @ May 9, 2014 -> 07:36 PM) Morneau double to tie it. Morneau's really having a nice bounce-back season after looking pretty bad for the Pirates last year. Ball carried all the way to the warning track, but damage limited. Typical Rienzo start, but, most importantly...keeping the team in the game. With his limited stuff, he's going to have to cut down those walks to be effective.
