fathom
QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 14, 2014 -> 04:11 AM) I heard that between that and GB, Hawk has lost his mind. - Micah Johnson is the fastest player in all of baseball (um, not even close to Billy Hamilton) - Sox have the best young talent in the majors
Soxfest
QUOTE (fathom @ May 13, 2014 -> 11:09 PM) fixed it for you..there are no outfielders in the minors right now that project as starting MLB outfielders the next few years. Hawkins has the best chance, and he's years away. All on KW and Sox are paying the Piper now.

South Side Fireworks Man
QUOTE (fathom @ May 13, 2014 -> 11:07 PM) Stay hot, Rick Hahn. Where is all this "great young talent" I keep hearing about Hahn bringing in? Signing Abreu was great move but it was a no-brainer. The Eaton trade was good. Other than that, not much. Soxfest
QUOTE (fathom @ May 13, 2014 -> 11:12 PM) Designated Francisco Assignment This is just bad bad baseball. Oakland has 14 hits my gosh. Edited May 14, 2014 by Soxfest
greg775
This Francisco guy is washed up. Cooper will be earning his money trying to get some innings out of some of these stiffs in our bullpen.
fathom
QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 14, 2014 -> 05:13 AM) This is just bad bad baseball. Think about it, you have playing tonight: - two pitchers in Carroll and Francisco that belong in the minors - leadoff hitter in Semien that should be in AAA - Konerko who probably should be retired - Sierra should be in the minors - Garcia should be 25th man, at best, on a roster Given the injuries to 4 of the main Sox performers (Sale, Avi, Jones, Eaton), this is a roster that would lose 100 games. Yes, I'm thinking this team may lose a lot of baseball games and battle for the No. 2 draft pick before it's ova. Should be interesting to see what happens to Sale the rest of the season. caulfield12
Who's our next option on the starting pitching front? Johnson's not 100% ready, even though his AAA K/BB rates are decent. You can't run him out there at 88-90. Paulino's obviously not going to cut it. Leesman is pitching well again but probably won't get another opportunity. Beck's a long ways off, but it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to see what would happen, depending on the opponent and stadium.
fathom
QUOTE (raBBit @ May 14, 2014 -> 05:42 AM) Marcus Semien 0-for-his-last-24. Stay tuned for season 2 of the Jeff Keppinger experience... Semien had a hit on Saturday. With that said, he's had his chances and has done nothing to earn staying in the majors.
