southsider2k5
Dan Hayes @DanHayesCSN 14m Adam Eaton feels good as heads on rehab. Flying from Oak to Durham for 2 games. Bus to Norfolk for 4 inn, rejoins Sox in Houston on Sun.
Soxfest
Hopefully he is healthy rest of the year. Need him leading off badly in this lineup.
Heads22
Even though I don't think our record is that much different with him in or out of the lineup, it sure feels better with him in there.
Jake
If nothing else, it puts a player on the field who is worth watching just due to his talent level. Eaton, Abreu, Viciedo, Semien, (at one point Avisail Garcia) are all guys that make you tune in just because you want to watch their development. Heads22
Agree with both of ya. We don't win long term (this season) without him.
cabiness42
When he's in the lineup our offense has been great and our pitching has been horrible. When he's been out of the lineup it's been the opposite. So when he comes back, tell him he's only allowed to talk to the hitters and to stay away from the pitchers. caulfield12
Now would be a good time to sit DeAza down, with Eaton possibly coming back today. HOUSTON — White Sox manager Robin Ventura was blunt about Alejandro De Aza's early mistake on the bases Saturday during a 6-5 loss to the Astros. De Aza was thrown out running from second to third after Moises Sierra's sacrifice fly to right field in the second inning. The out eventually proved to be costly in the one-run game as it halted the Sox's two-run burst against Astros pitcher Jarred Cosart and left a runner on base. "That's just bad baserunning," Ventura said. "You can't ever make the third out at third base." De Aza said before the game he is working to get out of a hitting funk that has dropped his batting average to .190 this season. He made a better contribution from the plate Saturday, going 1-for-2 with a walk and a sacrifice fly. "I'm trying to work on my swing and trying to find myself, trying to do my job and help the team win," De Aza said. "It's a thing I've been through every year, so I don't worry about it too much. I just work hard and try to get to the spot I need to be." www.chicagotribune.com/sports (Colleen Kane) Edited May 18, 2014 by caulfield12
Rowand44
Whether you think this team is a contender or not, they're just so much more watchable with Eaton in the lineup.
