Balta1701
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ May 16, 2014 -> 07:02 PM) Chris Sale has 8 Ks through 3 IP. IS THAT GOOD??? I think it's safe to say, he's back. Seriously, we need to trade for the guy who made contact.
caulfield12
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 16, 2014 -> 05:15 PM) Seriously, we need to trade for the guy who made contact. Robby Price. Not sure if we need another infielder at the moment. 11 K's and an infield ground out. 68 pitches through 4. Guess he's going 5? Feeky Magee
11 Ks for Sale through 4 innings. What's the minor-league record? Should go for that, bollocks to pitch counts.

caulfield12
Ron Necciai got 27 strikeouts in a class D minor league game in 1952. With Bristol, now one of our short-season teams. Don't think we want Sale to get K's on wild pitches just to face more hitters to strike out on wild pitches, lol. Or pitch into the 10th. flavum
If he feels good tomorrow, and throws a good side in a few days, I really hope they just bring him back. Even if it's for only 90 pitches, he's got to be better than what Carroll has been doing the last couple times.

winninguglyin83
I can hear Sale arguing that he should make his next appearance with the Sox.

winninguglyin83
With two Ks tonight, Jared Mitchell has 49 Ks in 88 at bats. No words to describe how bad that is.
Quin
Maybe Eaton's presence helped his old friend Davidson? Any video of the HR anywhere?
caulfield12
16 walks and 36 K's for Hawkins on the year. Much better ratio. Would love to see him finish 2014 at .260 or higher.

caulfield12
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 16, 2014 -> 06:01 PM) We don't have a team in Bristol anymore. Oops, that's right, the Pirates now. Almost a 20 year partnership there. I think it was the Tigers before. Fathom, Anderson and Hawkins must be listening, they both responded with hits. Now, if only Barnum and May would join suit. thxfrthmmrs
I heard other teams in the International League are already petitioning to outlaw Sale to pitch from his left hand side and force him to throw right handed in his next rehab start. On a side note, I, for one, forgot that Sale only pitched a whopping total of 10 innings, not games, innings in his brief minor league career. caulfield12
QUOTE (flavum @ May 16, 2014 -> 06:59 PM) Hawkins getting knocks today. .276 (threw out a runner at home too) So Hawkins has a very strong arm for LF, average or slightly below in RF...is that what we're hearing still? I know he had a shoulder injury in high school, can't remember the whole story anymore, or maybe it was from when he was bigger and playing football? Jake
Hawkins is said to have a very strong arm. Could throw 90 as a pitcher.
