Springfield Soxfan
QUOTE (southside hitman @ May 16, 2014 -> 10:14 PM) Might be time for him to get some practice in the OF. Agreed, he is on his way to CF.
winninguglyin83
the best thing about this draft is the sox won't take the best available Mr. Tools -- at least not with the first pick. Mitchell now at 50 Ks in 89 at bats -- five years into his pro career. Time to cut the cord - no matter what Buddy Bell says.
oldsox
QUOTE (Springfield SoxFan @ May 17, 2014 -> 05:50 AM) Agreed, he is on his way to CF. Can he hit well enough to play there? He does not look like a good #1 draft pick at this time.
witesoxfan
QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ May 16, 2014 -> 06:38 PM) With two Ks tonight, Jared Mitchell has 49 Ks in 88 at bats. No words to describe how bad that is. Who cares? Seriously. There's no point in bringing it up any more because he is the walking and talking example of a non-prospect. QUOTE (southside hitman @ May 16, 2014 -> 10:14 PM) Might be time for him to get some practice in the OF. QUOTE (Springfield SoxFan @ May 17, 2014 -> 06:50 AM) Agreed, he is on his way to CF. No chance in hell. He needs to work on his glove, but you give him time. He hasn't even been in the organization for a full year. QUOTE (oldsox @ May 17, 2014 -> 07:38 AM) Can he hit well enough to play there? He does not look like a good #1 draft pick at this time. He has a bat that could play in LF. Yes, he's just fine. Y2Jimmy0
QUOTE (southside hitman @ May 16, 2014 -> 10:14 PM) Might be time for him to get some practice in the OF. That's now how this works. Tim Anderson is a top 100 prospect in baseball because of his ceiling. He is extremely raw. We have to learn how to take the good with the bad. He is going to take awhile. He will most likely end up at 2B but it is way too soon to put him in the OF. Raw IF that play in A ball usually make a ton of errors.
