And Hawkins' K numbers continue to increase.

And he's not hitting the long ball this month. Outside of Montas' start yesterday, not a lot seems to be going well for the farm system.

How is he still on the 40-man?

Same reason we still have Mitchell, Danks, Axelrod and 1/2 the Charlotte roster there.

I'm guessing they don't want to needlessly expose a better prospect to being lost at some point until they actually have to be placed on the roster.

Did anything good happen tonight?

Eh. No disrespect to Kevan Smith, but when he is the "Star of the Day," the top prospects didn't do anything that spectacular.

It seems that with the collection of players in the Sox farm system that they would be able to find room for Sammy Ayala somewhere, just to see if he has a future in the game.

Northsider, do you have a list of players held over at advanced spring training?

This seems like an obvious move. If he can throw that hard maybe we can make him into a decent reliever.

the problem is not throwing hard but the location of the pitch. if his fastball is flat and straight, all the batters have to do wait. location, location and movement of the

fastball is the key.
