Brian
QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ May 25, 2014 -> 03:02 PM) Now Hawk plugging Avi Garcia and Micah Johnson being on the team next year. Great - some more stellar defense to look forward to. I'm still not convinced Avi is as bad in RF as he showed to start the season.
Soxfest
QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ May 25, 2014 -> 03:05 PM) At least the Sox and Derek Jeter are giving the Yankee fans in attendance a good time for their money. Jeter and Yankees fans can be happy the 2 out runs continue without fail. Edited May 25, 2014 by Soxfest
South Side Fireworks Man
QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 25, 2014 -> 03:05 PM) He is plugging because he is bored as hell today like the rest of us watching this Sox offense on autopilot. I wonder if Hawk realizes Micah Johnson being in the lineup means goodbye to his boy Gordon.
Big Hurtin
QUOTE (greg775 @ May 25, 2014 -> 04:02 PM) Yesterday's game was so huge you'd think Coop would have demanded to get Bella the hell out of that game. Although Downs would have blown it too I'm sure. if you actually believe that, you are in for a long summer.

Soxfest
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 25, 2014 -> 03:20 PM) He had 2 BB before that I just watched the 9th inning. Charlie Stiener said with the walk he still had a no hitter chance. I assumed he had no walks. Edited May 25, 2014 by Soxfest

brian310
Hawk is telling a story and mentioned that between him and 4 other guys, there was over 100 years of playing experience and combined they went on the dl 6 times...I feel like it probably wasn't close to 100 haha
flavum
https://twitter.com/ChuckGarfien/status/470663291518189569 Truth. This bullpen needs 7 guys that they use. Especially averaging less than 6 innings per start.

caulfield12
Well, the Tigers aren't doing much better this week. 1-6, Verlander got absolutely rocked twice (Rangers today, Indians earlier in the sweep) and Scherzer once. Not that it matters so much this year (Verlander going downhill), but it hopefully will over the next 2-3 seasons.

flavum
QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ May 25, 2014 -> 03:36 PM) What started it? Yunel Escobar stole 3rd. You could read AJ's lips-- "Up 5 in the 7th?" Escobar challeged the Boston dugout, Gomes came in from LF, and it was your run of the mill baseball "fight". Escobar was a b**** about it.
