Still trollin it hard today I see.

It would be cool if there was a stat that tracked his posts that either incite or perpetuate an argument. I'd guess it's around .960, the vast majority of which are of the "quoted reply" variety. Boredom's gonna boredom.

That's 7 plate appearances against RHP you are accounting for, which is 6.8% of his plate appearances total against RHP. So, here's Hector Noesi:

Against all teams other than the Chicago White Sox

40.2 IP, 4.46 ERA, 1.33 WHIP

Against all teams including the Chicago White Sox

41.2 IP, 5.83 ERA, 1.51 WHIP

That's 2.4% of his playing time this year.

I'm not trying to get into an argument here, but if you're going to cherry pick, so can everybody else.

I was trying to point out the sample size was way too small to come to any conclusion. And with Noesi are you using IP as a % or batters faced?

I get it. A lot of people think Gordon sucks, want him to suck and are looking for signs that he will. Maybe it has been uncovered. I for one enjoy watching him play well.

For clarification purposes, I merely used the IP sample size for the White Sox versus his total IP sample size, but it's going to be a similarly small number either way. I agree that the sample size is too small to draw any conclusions either way and anything else is primarily conjecture and speculation (which are not bad things but are not definitive).

This is why when you don't have the benefit of statistically significant performance samples, you have to rely on peripheral information.

So like: Did Noesi gain velocity? He he appeared to gain stamina? Has he learned or mastered a new pitch? Or have balls just not been dropping?

The White Sox spotted and fixed a flaw in his delivery,.

I've heard Beckham was discussed as lately as Tuesday. And he wouldn't go far.

Can you please clarify on what you mean by "he wouldn't go far"? Are you saying the Cubs are the team interested in him?

With Semien in the fold and both Sanchez & Johnson playing well at AAA (before injury), it seems like trading Beckham sooner rather later would be ideal from a development standpoint. Obviously at the point if the offers aren't what you like, you can hold off for a while. Glad to hear they are discussing moving him, because even though he's looked better recently, there is not long-term spot on this team with three of top prospects all pushing for major league playing time.

Vogelbach, Pierce Johnson, Alcantra all come to mind for Beckham. Just a few names.

The Cubs don't need Beckham though. My guess is STL. Within the next week here I think Baez will start playing 2B and be up sometime by July. They also have Alcantara. Beckham to the Cubs would make zero sense to me.

I would love stl and A. Craig as the player. Craig is a 1b and you can play Jose and Craig as your

DH and 1b.

Craig make good contact / avg, and does have some power. he is young and good salary.

Craig turns 30 in July, and his average strikeout total in a full season comes in around 100. He may very well be closer to the .250 hitter he has been this year than the .300 hitter he was last year with that strikeout total, and at that age he's probably not likely to get better than he is right now.

hmmm havent heard that.

I haven't been to the park this year as often as I have been in the past due to a respiratory issue I'm trying to beat back, but apparently Sanchez has a number of backers in the F.O.

And why shouldn't he have backers in the F.O.? He's made the adjustment, after being fast tracked to AAA last year, when he struggled.

He's the leading average hitter on the Knights, is a very good defensive second baseman, and is younger than league average.

I think they consider him the future at 2nd.

It wouldn't surprise me if M. Johnson is given a look in the outfield, when he returns from the D.L.

If you could combine Sanchez/Semien/Micah/Leury Garcia into one player, then you might have something.

As it is, I wouldn't be surprised at all if only one of those guys was on the 2016 roster.

We can hope all we want for 2-3, but history tells us to tamper down our expectations when it comes to our minor league hitting prospects.

It's only when we find guys from other organizations (Quentin) or bring them in as international free agents (Ramirez, Viciedo and Abreu) that we've had any degree of success.
