winninguglyin83
haven't heard yet figure it will be Rauch, Paniagua or Koch all three pitched last night at Charlotte Rauch went 4 1/3 but only allowed six hits and one run. One walk, three ks. wonder if he was pulled because he's coming up. Paniague ain't doin it. 1/3, 2 hits, 2 runs, a walk and a K. Koch had his best outing: 1 inning, 2 hits, No runs, NO WALKS and 2 Ks. Not perfect. But better. what's the word?

I'm assuming something should be announced soon enough.

BurlyMan56
Most likely Koch...
winninguglyin83
it's definitely Koch, or was that simply your opinion?
Chisoxfn
I'm guessing they hold off all announcements until tomorrow and then they will send up a couple players from Charlotte, since I'm assuming they'll be eliminated from playoff contention. I think they are a loss away from elimination and I don't know how they did last night.
Rowand44
I really thought it was going to be Paniagua, but last night could have really hurt his chances.

winninguglyin83
Rivera is hitting .312, I believe. But for some reason nobody ever talks about him must have problems defensively -- or something
SnB
don't the rosters expand tommorow? so we really don't need to bring just one guy up to replace cotts, right?

My guess is that Rauch was simply pulled because he got into trouble and the leash was short. They had to sweep to make the playoffs, so the manager isn't going to be real patient with a guy if he gets into trouble. He'll yank him quicker than normal. KW did say that they wouldn't promote anyone until after Charlotte was out of playoff contention, so I doubt he was pulled due to promotion. If that would have happened, he either wouldn't have started the game or he would have been pulled after an inning and not during one. Just a guess.... greg775
Wow I didn't know we sent down Cotts. He sure did stink. Do you folks think he's ruined or can he bounce back? Did this stint mean nothing in his big scheme of things?

YASNY
They need to leave Koch on rehab until after Sept 1 to allow for some flexibility with the playoff roster.

He probably shouldn't have been called up till next year, but we were and still are in need of the fifth starter. He got a taste of the bigs and actually won a game so he will remember that as much as his wildness.
